I’m proud to have crewed the mighty F-15 Eagle through Desert Storm/Calm. That probe would leave deep gouges going into the port and a few times a mighty Eagle would RTB with the probe still in the port. Proud to have served with the most professional men and women in the world. F politics, I love my country. Eagle keeper forever.

Awesome clarity on this video! Love the camo on the F15 too. Aggressors right?
@theothertoddg7 жыл бұрын
Correct. That particular F-15 belongs to a training squadron in Oregon. They normally use it as an aggressor, but it's also perfectly suitable for all types of training flights.

The Count of Monte Disco Sorry bro, don't know where you got your info from but the brown camo F15 belongs to Fresno Air National Guard. The falcon on the tail is a FANG emblem. I see them everyday as I drive by the base.

God I love Eagles. Here is perhaps a silly question but it appears, and it may simply be parallax error or camera angle, that refueling happens in a slight bank. Is this the case? If so what is the functional reason? Thanks for the great videos Gung Ho!
@KilroyActual6 жыл бұрын
Tankers usually stay in a specific pattern/air space while refueling. It's not uncommon for the tanker to enter a turn while offloading to remain in that pattern.

Kindnley to explain,What type of plane or helicopter are hard to aerial refueling?
@ianmueke79377 жыл бұрын
F-15s like these ones are pretty much the hardest to refuel from my experience because of the off centre refuelling port as compared to the A-10 which has the port right at the nose in-front of the cockpit

A 100,000 lb aircraft and the boom operator has to lay on his belly... He should get a rotating turret like a belly gunner with air ride and a cup holder or something.

There are aircraft even older than the F-15 still in service. The B-52 is actually still in service, and is intended to remain so until the 2040's. This is largely due to its performance and low cost.

Where are the contrails?
@hitopsful6 жыл бұрын
Jeff Ceezy they only happen at pretty close to mach 1 I'm pretty sure. Dont wanna be refueling going at that speed I'd imagine lol
@yoyoyoyoshua6 жыл бұрын
It depends on I think the air pressure. Sometimes their is no contrail.
@yoyoyoyoshua6 жыл бұрын
If they happened close to mach 1 then airliners wouldn't be contrailing. I've seen planes contrail at less than 10000ft on a cold day. And below 10,000ft you can't fly faster than 250 knots.
@jceezy2146 жыл бұрын
