😅 what's funny, is I sat here for about 5 minutes trying to figure out how they got the picture of the strip with the fighter flying towards it. There aren't any runways at Nellis, that I know of, that when the fighters takes off that are facing the direction of the strip. The only thing I can think of is they're taking off from the south runway and he has a plane following him. When they take off from the south runway they have to immediately bank to the right because Nellis' airspace ends and Las Vegas' airspace begins. They then usually head out of the valley going Northeast. Passing directly over my house as they go. When the Thunderbirds are practicing or putting on a show, you for sure know when they're flying over your house. The Thunderbirds will pass over my house with what seems like a hundred times while they are up in the air. And they are so fun to watch and close space over the city. It's really hard to keep up with where the fighters are because they move so fast the day outrun the sound of their planes. They do a lot of night time take off from North runway. And it's noisy when they do that. Sheep mountain is right in front of the north runway of Nellis. So they have less runway for them to get the plane up in the air before they'll hit the mountain. That means gunning it and a lot of very noisy engines. We can hear the men in the morning Tuning for warming up the planes I'm about 5 mi away from Nellis and we can still hear them even with all the buildings and everything
