If you want to get the stick feeling a bit more realistic in terms of sensitivity you can adjust the stick sensitivity, curve, and deadzones in the dcs setting. Go to axis controls click the axis u want to adjust then click tune axis. Hope this helps fix the roll rate problem :)

The pilot will fly the plane he flew, he isn't going to be looking up "how to fly f16 dcs" he is gonna make it what he knows as a pilot, often flying as it is and changing what doesnt feel right themselves. They don't want flight simmers giving them tips on how to change the game to make it easier :) hope this helps

@@toxickilljoy9037 I think you totally missed what Reid was saying. The sim joystick is not going to have the same amount of stick movement as the real jet. You can adjust that just like he was saying. They commented in the video that the jet moved to much and wished he could fix it.

I love the F-16. Growing up in the 80's I always heard it called the fighting falcon. Only recently I learned it was called the Viper and now it's even more badass 35 years later. What a timeless design. My fondest childhood memories were going to see the TB and BA at air shows. Seeing the F-16s roar overhead in Syracuse NY. When they left in 2010 or so replaced by drones it was a sad day for me. Makes me proud man. Thanks for your service. The select few who man these rockets are built different.

You're right in that the official name is Fighting Falcon. Apparently, pilots didn't like that name to they adopted the unofficial name Viper from Battlestar Galactica.

I was in this same boat as you. The NATO name is still "fighting falcon". Around the year 2005ish I went to Maxwell AFB as part of an elementary school field trip. The Air Force guys were in flight suits and they were very nice to us kids, explaining stuff I can't remember now and giving stickers for right answers. I remember them asking the question "Does anyone know the name of this jet?" and I though I was so smart, I raised my hand and proudly said "the fighting falcon!". One of the airmen (maybe pilots? idk) looked at me and firmly said "NO. it's the VIPER." But he still gave me a sticker...and that sticker had a snake on it lol. Maybe it was the unit patch.

If you want to simulate kind of F16 feel, I have my Curvature set for 30 and my for the roll and pitch set X Saturation anywhere between 35 to 45 depending on how sensitive you want it. The lower the value the more sensitive the control is, basically you would be inputting for example 35 of the X saturation for both pitch and roll, this will translate 35% input movement of the stick to get 100% output. I do 45 as this allows slight more movement I find it too sensitive at 35, but that's just me. This makes it feel more like the actual Viper to where your hardly moving the stick and getting the max amount of control.

That’s pretty stinkin’ cool for you to get to fly F-16’s with your Dad, maybe even some of the same ones!!! How awesome is that!!! My Dad and I learned to fly sailplanes together. Strictly civi of course. I didn’t meet the requirements for eyesight in those days. Back then surgery or corrective lenses didn’t cut it. Of course Lasek fixed the eyes 20 years ago but it couldn’t fix the the years gone by. Still, I got to fly with my Dad in the beginning. If you bind TMS up when using the A2A gun you can have it radar lock, TMS up again and you can use your HMCS to Acquire the target. I know you flew the plane irl so idk how the process differs from that, but in DCS that's the process, will make shooting an a2a target easier. (:
