I think it'd be interesting to see some same aircraft battles, f-16 vs f-16 (different countries for example). You're very good at knowing the strong points and weaknesses of the opposing aircraft, but how good are you when you're fighting the same airframe and thus eliminating some of the advantages. :{)

@Asghaad2 жыл бұрын
@@faqirmohammadabdullah2906 some yes, but when you compare his backlog of dogfights he is 95%+ sitting in the "ratefighter" or fighting another one circle fighter, only extremely rarely we see him go with onecircle fighter against two circle fighter and even if we get one its always agaisnt a pilot that isnt on his level - he just uses offset twocircle to win rather easily. it would be nice to see him more often in lets say Mirage, Hornet or his recently claimed favourite MiG-29 going up against F-16 and F-14 because im kinda getting tired of dogfights consisting of him autowinning the moment he is able to drag the other guy to the deck simply because he is in the two circle dominant aircraft all the time. Its too predictable and unexciting.

Love seeing your Viper videos, it's what I chose to fly in DCS. It's such a beautiful aircraft, extremely innovative for it's time, it's easy to see why it's the most popular fighter in the world and also such a popular module. I couldn't resist the all glass canopy, that and the thrust-to-weight ratio gives you a sense of freedom that I don't think any other module does. Your videos make me want to get into DCS. I've been playing Sturmovick since the first release and was an energy fighter like you. I did not realize these principles survived into the jet age so well. You seem to be an expert at it. I eventually got so good at it I would intentionally allow enemies to pull behind me in an idea kill position and control relative speed to get behind them without a turn fight. As they approached I would turn gradually to the right to lure them in behind me and throttle down allowing them to get in close for the kill. Then I would spoil their shot by rolling to the right 90 degrees and nose down sharply for a convex left turn. Only an expert can hit an aircraft in this path because the target motion is opposite to the point at which you would normally lead the shot. Simultaneously I would throttle up hard to even speed ending up directly behind them for the kill. I can't tell you now many planes I downed using this technique.

Some tips: 1. Try not to be greedy. Pulling HUD BFM only bleeds your energy, and if you didnt hit him then you just put yourself in a disadvantage. (But at the same time dont play around, when you get the chance to kill your opponent, do it) 2. Situational awareness. Cant kill something you can see 3. Know what are the strengths and weaknesses of your aircraft, and your opponent's aircraft

That last kill shows perfectly why a dogfight over a city would be a tragic incident, no matter who wins or what result it gets. The risk of having the remains of a dead aircraft falling over a house and killing innocent civilians is enormous. And it's not only the aircraft body that puts peoples lives at risk. Every single bullet you miss when trying to snap shot the opponent, is one potential death risk for the people down there. That's one aspect of air combat simulations that we, unfortunately, rarely see or discuss. There's this human factor (which I don't even know how to name it) involved in defending a city - or a country - against invaders and the risk the defender ends up putting over peoples lives when trying to defend them. Would it be possible, in a situation like this, to at least try to drag the dogfight outside the urban airspace? I understand that the defender must fight whenever he/she is at the moment a fight like that starts, but I often catch myself asking these questions when I watch a simulated dogfight, or even when I'm dogfighting in DCS. How would a pilot react to that situation in real life? What other aspects would they have to consider prior to committing to a dogfight?

generally, because the F-15 has larger control surfaces that generate greater lift for instantaneous turn, which is what you need in a 1-circle, but the F-16 has a greater thrust-to-weight ratio which gives it a very fast sustained turn rate, which is needed for a 2-circle rate fight.
