Respect to Franklin. Iv never seen such a strong chin in my 15+ years of watching boxing. Them right hands he ate all night and never showed any effect. I’d be shocked if he didn’t get whiplash in his neck the amount it got snapped back in that fight. Big up AJ aswell he has always struggled against a shorter fighter because they don’t want to stay in his range and they always close the gap and clinch so it was always going to be tough. People need to cut some slack, Franklins holding and survival tactics kind of ruined the spectacle that we all hoped for. Once AJ landed a few solid shots (especially the left hook to the body) Franklin just clinched more and more.

Well said! I've seen the usual Matchroom haters blaming AJ for the clinching, idiots. I still have concerns because he's hesitant to throw in fear of getting countered but everything else looked good. His jab was money, the left to the head and body worked well but he needed to throw it more, his right also looked good but again he needs to throw it more! Still work to be done but it was a step in the right direction.

@@K_j_M 😂😂😂😂 fury will destroy that clown. AJ was awful against Franklin and the only reason he tagged Franklin more was lack of movement and tiring out. You and others thinking AJ did what he had to do in that fight are crazies. Franklin is a tune up fight for most boxers and AJ couldn't get him out in 6 rounds. Hearns cash cow be running dry soon enough and he will be eyeing up Whyte fight before then the pu**y.

Anthony Joshua is a really bright young man. I've been watching him since the Dillon White fight. I think Franklin fought an inspired fight, but from the outside looking in, Joshua seems to have changed. It looks to me like he's a little disinterested and distant from the confidence and vigor he had in boxing, from the first time I saw him. Maybe it's just me, but whatever the case I'm a huge fan and I wish him well. I hope he gets Fury next, and he wins. I like Fury too, but I'm a bigger Joshua fan. I'd like to see him fight Wilder too. Either fight will be huge.

The problem we are seeing is everyone is ignoring how good Frabklin is & how much he has improved Everyones concentrating on AJs performance, his pros & cons of the fight but are failing to give Franklin his respect & considering the fact that he also improved .. he prepared really well for this fight ... he came in fitter than ever ... great stamina...has a great chin...very durable .. him beating AJ would have catapulted his profile ... so he certaining wasnt going to do himself dirty by underpreparing ... AJ fought the best version of Franklin AJ coming off them 2 losses to Usyk certainly wasnt going to take any wreckless risks ... just to get the KO.... cos a loss to Franklin would have devastated his career ... so he had to box clever & pick his moments .. Frankin just hugged & clinched AJ anytime AJ was getting some momentum .... very clever tactic by Franklin Lets give Franklin his respect👏🏼

AJ's recent performances in the ring have shown hesitancy and conservatism, which may stem from the deep hurt he suffered from defeats by Ruiz and Usyk. Subconsciously, he may fear being knocked down or facing another defeat. While his latest fight was solid, it lacked the boldness and aggression of his previous bouts. However, one positive takeaway from the fight was his resilience and strong chin, as he absorbed several powerful shots without showing any visible effects. Nonetheless, as he ages, it's important to remember that his glory days may have come and gone, a realization that is ironic given his past match against Klitch. Time flies by quickly, and AJ must now find a way to rebuild his confidence and adapt to the changes that come with age.

AJ needs to stop caring what people think and believe and be proud of who he is. The man started boxing mad late came out of a jail and has become world champion 🏆 and secured the bag 🛍️ for his family and future family for generations to come. F what people think and stop being to critical of yourself. No one is perfect and everybody likes to judge n put down everyone else apart from themselves. Well done Charlie, early hours and still grinding. When Joshua had his meltdown after the Usyk rematch he said “I’m an 18st man I’m not built for twelve rounds” so I believe he’s more comfortable at this weight. They’re building the stamina in so that he can do twelve rounds

I saw Bob Arum last Saturday 8th saying he likes the idea of Fury defending against Ruiz this summer and then an undisputed fight with Usyk in November or December, so maybe??

AJ looked better at this weight than he did when lighter. He wasn’t gassed and still looked sharp throughout the fight.

Agreed mate people giving aj to much stick on this one didn’t give fury as much for the wallin performance or chisora also people said usyk wasn’t ready for heavyweight titles after his chisora win I truly believe people are taking this performance the wrong way and it’s really pissing me off.

Looked fitter but still fighting stiff, lost confidence to let his hands go after Ruiz I think
@donflamenco8430
@donflamenco8430 Жыл бұрын
Was he fitter or was he just aloud to fight at a slower tempo. The pace was slow with mainly ones and twos punches being thrown. Also Franklin didn’t have the body mass or punch power to take AJ out of his comfort zone.

AJ should get at least one or better 2 more fights in before fighting a Fury or a Wilder because he still looks shell shocked ever since the MSG Ruiz 1 fight.

AJ is a good boxer. But he won't beat Wilder, Fury, or Usyk ever. Becoz he not one of the elites.

A win is a win but it was terrible. I can’t even talk about AJ, fury, wilder in the same sentence. Both would smash him on this display.

personally I want to see an vs Joe joyce as that's the only fight that makes sense right now and would definitely end up in a knockout no doubt as there fairly evenly matched maybe joyce has the edge

I wanna see Whyte or Miller next before Wilder or Fury. AJ needs an opponent who will bring his spite back. Only then will he have the energy back for a Wilder or Fury fight. He also needs at least one more fight with Derek James before he jumps in there with an elite fighter.
