My favorite is the regular F1 in CoS. Classic design, improved steel. That's my all-in-one bushcraft knife, and serves well on the Northwest coast, USA (very rainy and wet). Cheers!

That I can understand! I bought the F1 before it was in COS but I would not doubt to choose COS if doing it over! Great knife you can trust on! Especially in those conditions. I like it as a winter knife around here, snow, ice and cold wet conditions. Cheers!😁👍

I enjoyed your presentation. It was very upbeat and positive. I know of many knife users who have accumulated a wide variety of knives for outdoor use, and they have all settled on the Falkniven F1. The other knives just sit in a drawer. It is a fine knife. Cheers from the US!

Thank you for the video. I have a few of these knives including the S1 Forest Knife. FWIW, I found it's easiest to use the false edge on fire steel.

Wanted to try a F1 for years now, love the design of that knife. It is comming in Elmax next year Q2 or 3 according to FK AB. Have the A1 wich I love and had a F1x that I had to sell(not a fan of the handle and those rubber slabs). Great content guys, keep em comming! :)

Nice testing. I have some Fallkniven. I really like the shape and handle ergonomics on the H1. The slim profile of the F1 makes it perfect as small camp knife you just throw in your backpack or even carry in your cargo pocket.

@@westcoastbushcrafters Yep. The thicker more rounded handle indeed. Better for me since I have large hands. I like the thin profile of the F1 since it's not a knife I will use all day long but more an emergency knife for me. If I was gonna use it all day my hand would cramp up. With the thicker rounded handle of the H1 I'm good to go all day. Stay safe and have fun!

I liked your video to. I own several Fällkniven knives: F1 in VG10 and COS, F1 Pro, the NL4 Frey and the U2. In fact I only use the first 2. The Frey is my BBQ knive to show off 😅

Realy good vidéo ! My favorite is the F1. Always with me in the woods. Very light and strong enough. For my sharpening Just the DC4 and a leather belt 😄

We agree! Great dimensions. Fällkniven did well upgrading the F1 to COS steel. We only have the VG10 version of the normal F1 but when the knife gets lost or break (which most likely will never happen) the COS version will be purchased.

Hej Robert! Thanks for the question. The light green one is a fjällraven kaipack 38 L and the other one we advice you not to buy. It gave pain in the back after hiking short distances. Hope you got your answer 😁👍. Cheers!🍺

Hi Robert! We think it is a good choice! Never owned one myself but have looked at it a couple of times. We like the optional items you can order with it so you can extent the capacity. What are your plans with it? 60 L is quite big and great for longer hikes or when you like to drag too much stuff into the woods :). 30 L + some extra side bags are great for day trips and light camping. When I need to replace my current big backpack that would be definetly an option. Hope this helps. Take care!
