As for, “expectations being too high” I think it’s important for us to remember that when we get a licensed theme advent calendar, we need to keep in mind we are paying for the name and images of the characters, and the items in the calendar are meant to be fun little dinky items! For calendars like PopSugar, Lush, those are different!

I've said this before, Insight Editions is a PAPER company and lays out without any kind of mystery what's the content of the calendars, Idk why some people get surprised or disappointed with the content 🙃

I could have a fun friends themed party with some of these things. Make a dish from the show, play the trivia game and the bingo game while u watch some episodes and everyone wears a friends themed clothes. Since it is very popular right now, u could get some cool decor for the party too.

Loved your Friends video from last year! If the Amazon calendar only wanted to include small gifts like that, there definitely should've been something more; magnets, a mini stapler, maybe a reusable straw instead of the pencil? Even giving 1 good quality coaster would be better than 4 disposable paper ones, imo. Things like the one single disposable coffee slip or the little umbrellas are just NOT it.

I got friends advent calendar last year and I got a mini tree and hung or set all the items on it, I’ll be doing the same thing this year with the new advent calendar, I even bought a central perk coffee cup to make into a tree topper. I will have to get the sock one this year, I love all of them!

I can’t believe anyone was critical of you for verbalizing your opinion. I for one am grateful because last year i wanted that advent calendar until I saw your video. Yes it was BAD!!! It’s not being ungrateful when you waste good money on a crappy product. I really like the socks one. The price is good and the socks are cute. I agree that there are so many great quotes that they could have used. My guess is that they want to do this every year so they are saving some for future years LOL! The other calendar is much better than last year! Maybe they saw your video! I don’t get the umbrellas though! Your birthday is the same day as our granddaughter!

Haha when you were saying you like to see the pic for your birthday month, I do the same and we actually share the same birthday that’s so crazy. I received the 2nd advent calendar as a bday gift and I’m honestly so glad i opened all of the doors at once because this would not have been worth the wait. The only thing i honestly cared about was the cookbook booklet, the coasters and the coffee stirrers lol I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this calendar was disappointing. The paper clip was LAUGHABLE i could not believe that haha

There's a kid one of the socks. They don't have any of the adult ones in any of my stores. So I got the kids large and they fit me. Yes, there's a few that don't really go with Friends, but I'm not complaining since I actually got 16 socks instead of 15.

I love those sock advent calendars from target but I wish they came in different sizes. I know they say it fits up to size 9 or 10 but I’m a size 10 and they r way too small. I have bought 2 calendars in the past and haven’t been able to wear any 😔

Please do not buy this next year, it’s too painful to watch. You can’t think of it as being a dollar an item, that’s not realistic. Did you think each bag of *four* gummies is worth 2.50? Definitely not. Advent calendars are rip offs by nature, don’t take it so personally.

To put it more simply, you’re not paying $1 for each item, you’re really paying for the images, quotes, and characters. You could make your own advent calendar with items from Etsy or other small shops, but you’ll pay a lot more than $25 ;)
