They get hurt in crashes really inconsistently in this show. Sometimes they can flip and tumble all over the place and race the next day, other times a simple skid upside down and they are badly hurt. Even most of the "bad" crashes don't look much worse then some I've seen in NASCAR, and the drivers just about always walk away from those. The speed they are traveling at shouldn't even mater, many of the long flipping/sliding crashes may look spectacular, but those would actually be less bad as long crashes mean less forces all at once.

Its wierd. In the gba games GP Legend and Climax (I only have climax when talking about this) but you can use more than one spin boost, but it uses up more of your vehicles health compared to a normal boost, and has the same power as the extra boost, (Boost fire its called) which you get 1 per lap (like in F-Zero Velocity and on the SNES).

I can't really talk about Captain Falcon here without spoiling things for those who haven't watched later episodes revolving around the Good Captain, so instead I'd like to talk about his machine, the Blue Falcon. The Blue Falcon has appeared in the largest number of F-Zero titles out of any machine in F-Zero, beating out fellow SNES veterans by one game - Maximum Velocity, where it appeared as the Falcon MKII. Except not really, because it's effectively been a completely different machine each time. In its original SNES incarnation, it was far more rounded and streamlined, and featured a pair of canards that housed vectored thrust engines, making it one of only five machines that make use of vectored thrust in the entire franchise alongside the Wild Goose (SNES), Luna Bomber(Satelliview), Green Amazone (Satelliview) and The Stingray (Maximum Velocity). The most well-known incarnation of the Blue Falcon, with a far more angular design, debuted in F-Zero X. This version retained the four primary engines of the SNES Blue Falcon in their double-stacked configuration, but otherwise completely changed how the machine looked. This is also the design used in GX. The more aerodynamic lines came back for Maximum Velocity, but with an entire new hull design partially inspired by the A10 Warthog with its massive turbofan engines mounted between the vertical fins. Honestly, this particular version, the Falcon MKII, is my personal favorite incarnation of the Blue Falcon. It's also the only version not piloted by Captain Falcon but rather Kent Akechi, who interestingly enough actually looks a little like Ryu Suzaku. The anime continuity, including its tie-in games, kinda went back to the more angular design from X and GX, except the engines were COMPLETELY reworked. Instead of four smaller thrusters, this Blue Falcon just has one really big one in the middle where the cooling vent is on the X and GX version. Honestly, this has always kinda bothered me a little. It's like the Blue Falcon is always being tweaked and reworked, in ways that don't necessarily improve its performance so much as result in it becoming an entirely new machine. Despite all this, it _does_ still retain its iconic general outline - the arrowhead shaped hull with two big vertical fins and large intakes at the front next to the cockpit, which is mounted towards the front of the machine.
