You can pit when the pit icon turns Green!That is when you get the crew ready for a pitWhen it is Orange/yellow you are supposed to pit next lap BUT if you keep pressing the pit request button when its green so you pretty much tell them that you will not pit!

No that's not the reason. He came in one lap after he was supposed to and when he came in, he didn't alert his pit crew that he was coming in. That one symbol on the bottom left tells you if you can come in. If it's green they are ready, if it's orange, it is suggested that he should come in. He still needs to confirm it though (with Select I think)

If I remember correctly the pit stop won´t happen when you press the select button when it´s your actuall pit window. It´s like you´d say "No, not this Lap" by pressing it. So no Pit Stop for you

Everyone saying he didn't get serviced because he sped in has never played this game before, because that claim is BULLSHIT. I've sped into the pits at Canada NUMEROUS times on this game, and I've been serviced every single time. The problem is, Ben forgot one thing: If your pitstop is on Lap 7, you have to come in on Lap 7, otherwise your pitcrew will un-ready themselves. There is a way to circumvent this: You can manually request a pitstop with the Select button, that way you can pit in whenever you'd like. However, Ben didn't know that, and it came back to bite him in the ass.

On the warm up lap, you can get the tires up to 90. And that makes a good difference on the race, specially on the start. Just slow down as much as you can as the cars open a gap from you, then you accelerate as much as you can, steering as much as you can, and when you reach the corner you hammer the brakes, steering as much as you can. Do it for the entire warm up lap and you'll get the tires in a good temperature. It always worked for me.

You missed your planned stop by a lap, the garage icon is green when you are OK to pit. And warm up your tyres more on the parade lap, get them to 90 or above, they will drop but only to about 60-70 and you will get a much better start.

Hi Ben, for F1 2006, you have to follow your scheduled pits top or they won't service you. A lap earlier or later try would not come out. Hope this helps;)

Hard game. One time i was in qualifying in a mclaren then just up the road michael schumacher hit a toyota both cars spun round on the track and i smashed into them casuing a pile up!!! Tough game but very rewarding when it all goes right

I think you need to come in the exact lap they tell you too, otherwise no serivce. If I vaguely remember correctly they older games were very strict about that, which sometimes causes great misfortune.

the pitstoplag occured because you drove into the pits to fast. this does cost you time too. also, make sure you check your pitstopindicator halfway through the lap you want to stop. make sure its green, if not, press select ;)

if this little house thingy in the bottom left flashes green it is your scheduled (or requested) pitstop and your pit crew is ready for you. So apparently you should have come in on lap 8. If you request a pitstop your engineer usually confirms it and the orange light on that house thingy starts flashing green. (at least if i remember correctly, it has been a while since i played the game)

in formation lap you should press the acceleration and brake button together. will lock up the fronts and heat them (as far as i can remember when i played the game). give it a try :) to heat up the rears just do burnouts

When theres a red and yellow flag I usually stay and couple of inches away from the racing line to avoid the oil slick, and also did you know theres another way to adjust Traction control and Brake Bias without going into the garage or pausing the game to change the settings. Loving this series tho

when you request a pit stop you have to wait until they accept the request. yes it's a little stupid but the game works in that way. by the way, try to set the car in configuration from balance to speed. you'll be able to reach the 200 mph
