Alonso got to grips with that Renault by literally man handling the front end to his will. Fisichella had a smoother driving style and he just could not wrestle the time out of the car like Fernando did.

They were very strong at this race in Qualifying 3rd & 4th on the grid strong in the race until both the Coserworth Engines blew!

Then in the next Race in Australia Fisichella was way of the pace 2 seconds slower than Alonso they were giving him the hurry up on the Radio saying your still 2 seconds slower than Fernando i know you have sunder Understeer but you can't be 2 seconds slower common!

Whenever Williams showed strong pace this season, when they were competitive they had Reliability issues retired.

2006 was his best season but not a great one he couldn’t match Alonso for pace and only beat Alonso twice that season. He did have some bad luck.

Renault very strong here. Ferrari not strong here but they weren't early in the season. McLaren not that strong here either. Great result and drive by Button.

Williams were Competitive at times during the season but whenever they were competitive showing strong Pace the Engine Blew or another Mechanical Issue very poor Reliability Williams in 2006. Missed out on many Points and Podium's because of Poor Reliability.
