I understand him quite well. I have always had trouble with throttle when using Xbox 360 control I have. It's like having full throttle, little bit of throttle and no throttle at all. That's all. Nothing between them. I just seem to lack the fine muscle control required by fully analog controls with a controller. I can do it with pedals, but not with a controller.

I've literally played for 2 months on F1 games since I had F1 2013 for 6 years with full assists and after about an hour a day practising I now can play with no assists at all. You'll get it Scott just take one assist off at a time.

When getting on the throttle, bring your finger closer to the controller (as opposed to being on the end of the trigger) - you will have to push it slightly harder, giving you more control over the throttle. I did this for ages on a pad with F1 2018/19 (before i got a wheel)

I can drive really well with no assists at all in F1 games but bloody hell it took me from 2009 game to learn (I could only actually drive the car properly with assist in F1 2014 so you know I became an inside person but don't worry I play darts 4 hours every day every week every month since I was 4)

If u really wanna try no assist (and I’m trying to criticise or anything) I would recommend try taking slow and steady steps towards that’s so eg. start by doing like a lap fully with assist then once u feel comfortable start taking them off one by one and start with the easiest so like racing line than manual gears and etc... trust me I’ve tried it and it worked

I think the only things you need to work on is how to brake more gradually (or apply pumping the brakes in some capacity), and learn how to steer more gently. You should have enough room to gradually turn the analog stick in one direction instead of just jamming it to one side
