Not only is he cheap, he comes with a ton of Argentine sponsor dough... but can he match the 30+ million dollar Zhou brings to the table? Not to mention the fact that China is a massively important market for Volkswagen/Audi.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, imagine what's going to happen when Volkswagen starts closing production facilities in Germany. Time will tell. 2026 is going to mix things up again. Teams on top now may be at the bottom like what happened to Mercedez in the last update. I do like Colapinto, but it's still too early. Bottas, we love em, but he himself needs change and maybe step in as advisory. Daddy money kid needs to be out of Aston, and bring in another experienced like Checo. What a tag team that would be!

A new team would want a driver with the experience and ability to give worthwhile feedback, something that Bottas is known to be proficient with, in buckets. These new younger drivers need more experience, real world experience at that. In the heat of battle, Bottas is tried and tested.

Audi/Sauber will struggle in the beginning. They need both the points and the feedback from proven drivers to make sure they get the car right ASAP. Hulk and Bottas is the perfect combo. Getting Bortoleto or Colapinto is pointless, they are academy drivers of McLaren and Williams and will most likely leave in 1-2 years. They’d only be developing those drivers for their rivals while their race seats are occupied.

Have to remember that the young drivers considered, they have driven cars which are a lot better than Sauber. This is the worst of the worst! You need drivers that can provide feedback and bring these cars up to speed then put the younger crew in there.

While it’s true Franco has done a great job the last two races, it’s not really fair to compare that Williams car to the Sauber one. The Sauber car is BY FAR the worst one on the grid and I’m sure Franco would be struggling just as much as Bottas if he were in there instead.
