Here’s a nice way to hold your phone in your CT5 (with affiliate link):
Car Phone Holder: amzn.to/3hQA1gp
Here’s what I use to keep my test cars clean while recording (with affiliate links):
Meguiar's Glass cleaner: amzn.to/3P2hJVy
Meguiar's Quick Detailer: amzn.to/3BbJAgm
Meguiar's Microfiber towels: amzn.to/3XXhEqh
Add $3500 for a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 and you’ve got a classy, quick, and quite luxurious mid-sized sedan for a totally reasonable price. Of course, you can keep going on the options list and get massaging seats, among many other gadgets to make this a truly serene space. The cabin isolates the outside world remarkably well and the suspension tune balances the bumps and body roll perfectly. This is a fantastic car. Heck, it’s a car!
In this video, I take you through the car, show you what features are offered and how they work. And then I take you on a drive to get a sense of how well it handles, the quality of the ride, and the overall experience.

Great video. Wish I could have afforded the V6, but my pocket book kept me with the 2.0T which power I will describe as adequate for a daily driver. I can confirm, the comfort and ride quality of this car is fabulous.

Thank you! Yeah, the 2.0T gets the job done, certainly. I drove it in the CT6 a few years ago and felt similarly. And, definitely, the comfort and ride quality is top notch.

@@viewsonvehicles Thanks for the link, and again thanks for your review. Are you willing to ponder whether you think this CT5-V or the BMW 3 or 5 series I6 cars will be more reliable? I haven't heard much good regarding reliability for either brand in recent years. I just know I prefer the CT5-V appearance-wise. Also, do you know of any reputable ECU tuners for either brand? It would be nice to get this Caddy into the mid 12's 🙂
@viewsonvehicles
@viewsonvehicles 11 ай бұрын
@@jsfbay1 Oof, man, reliability is a hard one. I really love the way the CT5 drives and looks, but drove it with only a few thousand miles on it. I have never personally owned a Cadillac, but owned several German cars now, BMW and Audi, and found them reasonably reliable, but expensive when they brake. I'd like to think parts on the Cadillac would cost less. But I do not have any data to back that up.

I still favor the Cadillac CTS comparable to the CT5 because the cheaper interior materials the CT5 has while the CTS interior material was more premium with the usage of real metal and leather on higher trims than the cheaper plastic the CT5 offers.

Just like Sean said below I too purchased the 2023 CT5 Premium Luxury with the turbo charged 4 cylinder. I really wanted the 6 cylinder but was talked of it because the dealer told me that GM was considering not using the 6 on the CT5 and I may not receive my ordered car that took three months from order to delivery. I’m not totally unhappy about the 4 cylinder but feel stupid for not ordering the 6 after viewing your video. What Say You?! By the way did you test drive the 4 cylinder? Rich
@viewsonvehicles
@viewsonvehicles Жыл бұрын
That's frustrating, I do not know why the dealer would say that. I did test drive the 2.0-liter, but years ago when it was first introduced in the CT6, back when Cadillac still built the CT6. I found it a perfectly fine engine. I did recently drive another 4-cyl in a Cadillac, the 2.7-liter in the CT4: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnqXc6mXdtJnacU

Why anyone would give up a 400hp CT6 to buy this is beyond me, so I didn't. Instead of hanging in and improving the big sedan, which is still sold in China of all places, we get this, which is totally underwhelming.

I think it's all these media car reviewers that are ruining cars. Your average ordinary car buyer doesn't give 3 craps about 0-60 times. It's made the auto manufacturers making cars for reviews instead of buyers.

Cadillac in the 1950s and early 60s was larger, had a ride that felt like you were floating on air which meant much less fatigue on long drives, was a head turner, and had plenty of power. Now when you see one on the road, it and many other luxury vehicles are indistinguishable from other cars. They look like every other car and are less dependable than most foreign brands. I’m sorry to see this happening!
