Hello, I am the record holder of this combo on RSR. My time is not illegal, the lowest temp that RSR allows when doing hotlaps is 10 degrees celsius. I actually have it set at 0 degrees celsius but when I start a hotlap session it automatically changes to 10 degrees celsius so that it adheres to RSR:s rules. My lap clearly conforms to RSR:s set rules and is not in anyway illegal as it is made out to be here. As for Husqus time, it is possible to go under 10 degrees celsius if you play on an online server with random weather I believe. Some might see this as a grey area however since it is so widely used (look at f2004 @ Spa) it is not necessarily illegal, especially since the times under 10 degrees celsius haven't been taken down from RSR while other genuinly illegal laps have been. /William Glassel

I've gathered the following information from Assetto Corsa Content Manager: "RSR is active, and according to its rules you are not allowed to use temperatures lower than 10 °C". My lap is therefore valid and legal, and I would appreciate if you aknowledged this in your video as soon as possible since at the moment it is spreading a misleading image of me as a "cheater", despite my lap conforming to RSR:s rules in every single possible way.

Been a long time since I used the default launcher (or far for that matter) but I am pretty sure lower than 14c track temp is possible in the base game. I think you have to set the time to either really early or late, and set the weather to either overcast or fog. I think that sets the track temp to 8c. ( hella impressive lap btw)

I have a question for the F2004, even tho it might be obvious and i am just dumb, i cannot figure out how to get more straight line speed than the locked 312 kph. I've tried messing with gears and stuff but the last gear just felt like it lost all power

Try lowering wing angles and gear it so that 7th hits the redline at your desired top speed. Also mess with front/ride height to get the car level as 0 rake = more speed.

The lap is gorgeous! That said (and I read some malicious comments here that are totally uncalled for), it makes me think that Assetto Corsa made the car faster than the real one. Comparing it with the real-life record of 5:19 for the Porsche 919 EVO, which was as quick as an F1 car around Spa, I think it's simply unrealistic to expect the 2004 Formula 1 cars to be quicker around such a track. With all their higher horsepower than their modern-day counterparts, Formula cars of that era had nowhere near the same aerodynamic performance, and improving (even virtually) the 919 EVO record by 35 seconds looks implausible. You've been driving this car on other circuits, I assume. How do in-game lap times compare with real ones? I'm asking because I don't have the simulator and had no chance to investigate further.

Thanks for the kind words. I totally understand what you mean with the pace of the car. That being said, I think sim racing vehicles usually end up "faster" than their real-life counterparts, since we sim racers can push them to their limit without consequence. Then when you consider that this is on one of the longest race tracks in the world, there's even more margine to improve over real life.

The 919 Evo was MEGA slow in reality around the Nordschleife. You can beat that time with the F2004 WITHOUT SHIFTING - the whole lap in *5th gear only!* As you can see in my video. The F2004 will EASILY beat 5 minutes. But yes, it is a bit faster in Assetto Corsa than IRL. The real car would NEVER do 4:44. In Assetto, the Evo can do less than 4:50 quite easily. IRL, below 5 minutes as well. The driver was just playing it safe...

I'm afraid not. I have the FFB right at a 1.00 multiplier in game and within the controller input screen I have very standard settings. My ffb may be lighter than average but it's typical for a G27 I think.

I see what you mean now with the ffb meter. It's simply not functional in the replay. When I'm driving it clearly indicates feedback just as you'd expect.

@@rayzie8599 Track temp was 14 degrees, air temp was 10 degrees. Ps4 doesn't give you accurate lap times, according to the timer this was a 5.02.937 so I have to use my own stopwatch. I'll try it again with tire wear on and see if I can match your time.

@@mikimosky4109 Don't know about videos, but you can find the lap times on RSR Live time's website. Honestly though, it is pretty easy to cheat and fake runs at this point. There are cheats to stop the timer and I have seen people come forward now about their vids featuring cars that had their files tampered with, which RSR can't detect at all.
