It's amazing to see how terrible careful and gentle they are with Lek. They seem to have a good understanding of the fragility of a human being in comparison to them. It is also amazing how some of them seem to complain when Fai Mai keeps Lek all to herself, not wanting to share her with the others. The way she takes Lek by the hand and guides her to where she wants her to go astonishes me. What a blessing and grand privilege also!

Dizzie Chef You’re exactly right; Faa Mai is very possessive of Lek. She only lets Thong Ae spend time with her, but as you can see at 5:32, Faa Mai took her back after a few minutes, lol. Lek has also said that Faa Mai tucks her under her like she’d do if she had a baby. Faa Mai was the first elephant born at ENP and Lek spent a lot of time with her, so I think Faa Mai also sees her as a parent/nanny figure.
