I just took the FAA 107 test on April 18th and got a score of 90. No online classes. I just studied every video I could find on KZbin as well as reading various articles and recommended study guides. Don't bother trying to memorize online sample test questions. You need to learn why and how regulations are the way they are and how they apply to various scenarios. Out of 60 questions on the test only about 20% were covered in those videos and study guides. The test I took was made up of questions you could answer only by studying weather systems, METAR reports, sectional charts, airspace, and various regulations covering drones and some common sense.

@@FamousAndStillBroke 79% I just downloaded & read the part 107 off of the FAA website. Same with the study guide on the FAA website. Watched a few videos going over the test. Just read every word of every question and make sure you're understanding exactly what it is asking. There were a few questions I hadn't heard anything about, but there wasn't enough to fail me. You can skip questions you don't know and answer all the ones you do know, then come back to those so you don't run out of time. There's plenty of time I think. Just watch the clock while you're testing and you'll be fine.

@Izzy-te8rx
@Izzy-te8rx 2 жыл бұрын
This is probably way late, but runways are determined based on a 360 degree circle. These runways numbers apply across all airports in the nation. Runway 13 is at 130 degrees. Runway 9 (90 degrees) is due east. Runway 18 (180 degrees) is due south. So in between that (130) would be south east.

This looks pretty much like same test I took to get my private pilots license. Would someone explain to me why I need to know all this when the rule is I can only fly 400 ft AGL and no further than VLS. A $150 ever 2 year. Fixed wing Remote operators don’t have to take a test. Since drones are much easier to fly, so there will be more involved so just another tax our government is posing on us for something we love to do.
@altitudeuniversity

It pretty much is the same test with a few additional points related to drones. The fee is $175 now, however, you only pay it once. The renewal every two years is free on the FAA site. So at least it is only a one-time fee. I hope that helps!

When I got my Ham radio license the FCC had three Tiers of licensing, Technician, General and Advanced. Why couldn’t the FAA do the same with Drone licenses? After all, I would venture to say that majority of people that are making money using a Drone are forced to get a commercial license just because they are monetized on KZbin. None of which would require them to learn most of the crap on the FAA’s Part 107 Test. Am I the only one who thinks that there are a bunch of power hungry Bureaucrats at the FAA who hate Drone operators, so they think that if we want to fly in their air space we should know how to land a 747 at LAX? Why not different Tiers of licensing for Drones? Basic, Commercial and Industrial. Why should the majority of people have to study for weeks, just so they can be monetized on KZbin for posting Cinematic Drone Footage of their pets and the trees that they piss on? SMH
