It’s always fun swinging by and helping out, fun times. I was trying to mess with you, but all I did was end up organizing your tools back into place. I’ll have to think of something better next time. I have a surprise for you on my next trip be ready. 🚌

Hiya guys, from Englandistan here, nigh on all the workshops and factories here are surface wired, that is all the wires run in trunking and conduits, that way adding ,moving or adapting for whatever reason is easier, also of course the metal is earthed,( grounded) . No worries about drilling into hidden wires when fixing staff to the walls.

Gets really fun with a 4 ways when you have 2 4 ways on there own 277 circuit. You planned 2 purples for 1 set of travelers and 2 pinks for the other switch. I installed power side 3 way while my partner installed 4 way using 1 pink and 1 purple per switch.

In 1970 I was the only one in my shop class that could wire up a working 3 way. Now I am a guard in a building that has several sets of improperly connected 3 ways that you havew to play with to figure out how to shut off all the lights!

Great idea. rearranging some of Paul's tools. Reminds me of the time when Me my dad and my brother were gone for a month and my mom and 4 sisters got the idea to clean the shop for us while we were gone. It took us 6 months to find all of our tools and get them back where they belonged.

1:16 .. in my old house, I wired up 4 way switches so a light in EVERY "Common Area" would come on whe you flipped one of the switches .. it was a big house and there was maybe Eight, 4 way switches:) The reason I did it was I got the switches for next to nothing (normally the 4 way switches are surprisingly expensive) I still have I bet 10 or 15 in the storage unit somewhere :) Oh and my Father in law worked at a factory that made residential house wire, So I got a HUGE discount on a big spool of 14/3 with ground :) So I CAN wire 3 way and 4 way switches up ..BUT? ...I have to look at the book every time :)

I'm not a fan of the spotlight. It points directly into your eyes. So when Paul hears something go bump in the night and looks down towards his shop, he's blinded by the spotlight and can't see who's creeping just behind it. When he's working outside at night and looks towards the building, he's blinded by the light. In my humble opinion, it is best to mount them high and point them down. Just like the ending of this video; too much light in the wrong place (background) and the foreground is not well lit or visible. Casey LaDelle just did a commentary about blinding lights on his wrecker.
@SabinShopWorks

point taken but someone is gonna be a lot less willing to try to sneak up on them and steal stuff if he has a big ol light, and sorry about the placing of that last clip we where just kinda in a hurry and so was he
