Chess is a sea in which a gnat may drink and an elephant may bathe" refers to the depth and complexity of chess. It suggests that chess can be enjoyed and mastered by people of all skill levels, regardless of their background or experience. * Beginners, like the gnat, can learn the basic rules and enjoy a simple game. * Experienced players, like the elephant, can delve into the deep strategies and tactics of the game.

I had a tournament game where a player fell into an opening trap that wasn't even so much a trap but more just a tactic that I found over the board. He resigned in seven moves and I honestly felt bad because it's just one of those deals where you just can't see this stuff and because it was similar to a different type of trap I found this obscure tactic winning the queen with the Bxf7 trick. I'm pretty sure evenFabi wasn't proud of this game. It's just one of those things that happens in chess and we move on. Believe me, Alireza will not fall for this again. Not even in 30 second bullet.
