Its amazing how much planning and (our) money goes into sneaking in these closures, whereas you never see them spend any of our money on improvements. Join the Blue ribbon coalition!!

I've often wondered if the slow creepy crawly technique that was letting the HUMMER make progress on that steep bottomless sand hill would allow a vehicle to make forward, albeit very slow, progress. I'd have also been interested to see if the FJ might have done something similar in its lowest gearing configuration just idling along, but I don't know/recall what kind of gear ratios the FJ has for transmission, low range transfer case, and final drive. Maybe an experiment for the net time the FJ is on that obstacle. But I'm also pretty sure Paul's preferred MO in that situation is "maximum onion and let that V8 roar!" 🤠

Long long story short , I've had serious back pain since my early 20s. I had never abused overly my back, I learned in 6th grade industrial arts how to NOT lift with my back ,but with my legs. I was a runner ,track and field, hit the weights in grade 8 and the gym in grade 9 and started heavy cardio running and biking. Started working for my dad and brother in construction shingles , yes I hauled bundles up the ladder on my shoulders. I loved it, rotated every bundle from one shoulder to the other... we built fences, we dug holes manually, and I tamped using a steal pole , rotating as I tamped. I didn't need to go to the gym on those days. And my back hardly Gave me any issues back then ,it was in my twenties I was helping my older brother carry a piece of furniture up the stairs and well, I don't recall but my brother said I did something that made him slip and crack his back, and ever since then he never had a sick day or any back issues, and this was 30 years later... But ever since that time I had back issues. It got so bad I had to quit jobs, and refuse jobs. I went for an MRI around 8 years ago I figured they'd finally get to the bottom of my back problems, nothing. My spine is as straight as an arrow, and not a chip or anything wrong to be seen, it's all inflammation. And that all there is to it. Lift with your back and live your life, cause worrying about proper lifting procedures is pointless lol when a little gas can lay you out flat on your back for weeks. Just kidding. ,I figure the only reason I'm not in worse shape than I am at 56 is because I took care of me when I was younger. And now that I think I have this this g figured out, I'm gonna get back on my bike and steal back my life😁🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇸

The HMMWV has a deep water fording kit that connects all of the vent lines from every thing that holds fluid to a single line that runs up the side of the fording stack (air intake). When the fording valve is closed it uses the crankcase to pressure all of the fluid systems so that water cannot come in through a bad seal. If you drive the vehicle for any length of time with the fording valve closed the pressure can push transfer case fluid out through the fording lines to wherever the weakest seals are, usually the geared hubs. Usually the leaking overfilled hubs are the only way to notice. Make sure the fording valve is open so you dont have the same problem again.
