Loved the "chattiness". I think with lockdown we're all a bit starved of just chatting about the stuff we love. So thank you! I love my Jalie 2805 but I've adapted it so much that it does not really reflect the original. What I did was: sized up from underarm to hip, done a forward shoulder adjustment and lengthened it, so very much still a t-shirt but less fitted from the bust down (pear shaped here too).
@Threadquarters4 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds like you've tweaked your Jalie top about as much as I've tweaked my Gable pattern! lol.

I love your vlogs! Your chats make me feel like we are sitting in the same room, hanging out, and sharing our love of sewing. Your son is adorable! I loved all of your new knit fabric especially the seagull fabric! It would make a great t-shirt dress. I laughed when you said your cats don't like people. We currently have 5 and 3 of them love when anyone visits our house. One of them, Piper, is super cuddly. She always wants to sit on someone's lap and quite often I wake up and she is laying at the foot of the bed. I look forward to seeing your completed makes.

I too have A LOT of fabric that I need to start working through. The Bronte top is a new one to me. Other than the close fit, I like the look of it and I think it would look super cute in the knits you chose.
@Threadquarters4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the sample I showed of the Bronte does look very fitted. I've made sure what I cut out is similar to the cut of my Gable top (which i've adapted to be looser), so I'm hoping my version isn't as tight.

You need the lark t from grainline studio. Has all the necklines you will ever need and 3 or 4 sleeve lengths
@mairead58914 жыл бұрын
Sorry if someone has already mentioned this, but the Agnes tee has an ordinary sleeve as well as the pouffy one. It's a lovely pattern, but I've had to alter mine as it's a normal Tilly fit with a narrow waist and a flare at the hips. Another one you might like for it's versatility is the Renfrew by Sewaholic. There's three variations in neckline (including a nice scoop and a wonderful cowl neck) and three sleeve variations too.

My favourite pattern for a nice scoop neck is the Sewaholic Renfrew. I have made it many times. I have also made it in the long sleeved version but if you do be aware they are very long| (The cowl neck is also good in a drapey viscose jersey.) It uses bands rather than ribbing, but that could be changed if you wanted.

The fabrics and ideas are great. Thanks for sharing a video. I really love your channel. I want to learn to sew and am currently working on a space to use as a project center. The lockdown has set me back a little though. I have my pattern that I’m going to make first. It’s the Peg Legs pattern from Patterns for Pirates (P4P). I work from home exclusively, so I wear a lot of athletic clothing. The pattern includes lots of length options and I’m going to make shorts for summer. You inspire me, no end! Thanks for continuing to make videos!

Ha... I feel your pain... I live with two males too but one's a dog and doesn't talk too much about super heroes and Harry Potter...but he's super demanding at times 😉. It was lovely to see your gorgeous Son and your cute cat 💟. You have some lovely jerseys there and I'm sure that whatever you make will do them justice 👌. I'm a great fan of the Ebony myself and have three and no doubt more will be on the horizon. I do the cropped version but add about two and a half to three inches on the hem, just to make it feel a bit more comfortable length wise. Have a great time sewing them all up into lovely things...take care Suzie ♥😁😘

I'm thinking mandy boat tee for the viscose jerseys! Also ages ago, Lauren from G&G posted a hack of a tshirt pattern that gave it a less fitted silhouette, essentially split the back into a yoke and a bottom part, cut the bottom 1 inch away from the fold and created a pleat at the top with the extra. Can't wait to see what you make ❤

So enjoyed this video.When I saw this I made a nice pot of tea and sat down to pay rapt attention to your friendly chat.I love all of your fabric choices my colouring is similar to yours and white ,white suits me but in the autumn I do opt for cream,browns and oranges and mustard tones. I haven’t made the Keilo but everyone who does loves it.I believe that the pattern is for a tall person but can be easily adjusted. You little boy is very handsome and it was great to see him popping in and your cat is lovely. I enjoy your chats it is like meeting a friend for a heartwarming catch up. I look forward to seeing the fabric transformations.I don’t know if you follow Tamlyn of Made on the Tyne ,she loves the Ebony pattern and has shown quite a few on her vlogs.💐

Hi. You have some lovely fabrics - looking forward to your makes. I have also been making a lot of simple jersey tops (and matching panties from the scraps ;-)). Sometimes you just need easy stuff to make. The Bronte tee looks interesting - I will follow up. The Agnes has a lovely neckline but is very fitted so your plan sounds a good one. Another pattern worth looking at is the Lark tee. It's semi-fitted and offers three different necklines and a range of sleeve options so is good value. Unless of course you have other similar ones already in your stash.
@Threadquarters4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I happened to come across a free tshirt pattern I had in my stash after I’d finished filming this so I’m going to give it a go. Hope I like it 😆🤞 Pants from scraps are the best aren’t they?!! 😁

All of your fabrics are really lovely Suzy I’ve just made 2 of the Ellie & Mac “every day tee”. One in cotton jersey and one in a viscose jersey- both came out really lovely. It has a grown on sleeve, nice long body and a curve hem. Also has a fitted and loose fit in the same pattern. And, E&M do a $1 dollar Wednesday on some patterns. btw - I’m listening to Steven Fry on audio books. I’m starting on HP again 🌈🏴
