Hi Suzie, I'm loving the look of the Hazelwood top... I can see me having to get that one 👌💖. It reminds me a little of the LB Pullover by Paper Theory, which I love, but the Hazelwood has more flare at the hem and the facing of course... great 👍. It looks amazing in that monochrome fabric 👌. Loving your dress too and I like the sleeves on you and sometimes it's good to try something different to our normal comfort zone. If you find your not wearing it much, then that's the time to alter it . All your fabrics are gorgeous and I'm not surprised that there flying out the door 😍💖. Lovely to see your gorgeous Son and good to see he's supporting his Mum's business 😁🙌😘

Great video. So glad you said that about the Billie. It seems to come up quite large. I’m also a size 6 but I’m thinking of sizing down in that one! And I’m the same about raglan sleeves. I’m not keen on the linden sweatshirt and think that’s why. I’d defo make them into pjs coz if you’re not keen as a top it’ll just stay in your wardrobe if not! Loved the fabric 😍
@Threadquarters

I absolutely love the Billie dress on you, particularly the sleeves. It’s the only reason I would like the pattern (as wasn’t keen on the way it comes in tight and balloons in the pattern photos. )I’m trying to think of ways to hack the sleeve and just use my favourite jersey dress the Southbank. I also didn’t like the raglan tee but managed to make it twice. It’s certainly not my favourite. I again thought yours was very nice particularly the fabric you used. Lovely makes.This is the first time I’ve watched your channel so thank you🤗
@Threadquarters
@Threadquarters 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! So glad you liked the makes. Yes I recon it would be easy to just use your Southbank and adapt the sleeves. You could slash and spread them to get the volume. But do beware that the South bank is a dropped shoulder pattern, so that will affect the look.

Hi Suzie, thanks for your vlog! It was great to know your feedback on the patterns as I think we are a similar size... I found the same with the Tilly’s frankie top. I made a size 6 and it was also huge on me. I thought I was the only one but was so glad to know you also had the same problem. I was starting to think I had done something wrong with the pattern. Re patterns for a raglan sleeve I have a great Kwik sew pattern 348 which is great. Maybe try that out. Can’t wait to see your vlog on your birthday dress! 😊😊 loving the fabrics too ✂️✂️🧵

Loved the makes! And the fabric for each one was gorgeous. You mentioned changing the sleeves on the dress, they look pretty cool, but if you wanted less, I was thinking just slim the cuffs, and keep the interest in the shoulders. I have made a copule of Frankie's also and there is a lot of excess fabric as yousay, but mine was in a bamboo jersey so it didn't bother me. I too will look to see if anyone mentions a nicely fitted raglan pattern √ Your silver star sweatshirt is great, and love the way you used both sides. Thank you for mentioning ways to deal with the stretch qualities and how to adjust. There is always a way to make it work :)

Really like the two different fabrics for the Frankie tea, but how much of each would I need to buy?
@Threadquarters
@Threadquarters 3 жыл бұрын
Yvonne F thanks Yvonne. It would depend on your measurements but basically you would need the length of your torso from neckline to hip (the length of T-shirt) for the body and the length from neckline down to your wrist for the arm. Both of my measurements come out over 50cm so I needed 1m of each fabric. Means you would end up with fabric leftover, but there’s lots of things you could make with the scraps, like pants! 😁

Please don't change the sleeves on your Billie dress, they look fabulous! I think it's a matter of being exposed enough to something so you get used to the look of it. I don't think they're too much at all, jut beautiful. They elevate the dress from a fairly ordinary jersey dress to something a little more special, you'll have a great dress that is comfy like secret pyjamas!

The Frankie tee was the first stretch pattern I made and I made size 4 because I didn't want the negative ease. It is the best fitting stretch garment I have made. It fits perfect and I love the curvy more fitted look. I have had a lot of problems with other patients with excess fabric around the arms and twisting in the sleeves. I think I might have solved the twisting by moving the sleeve head slightly forward. I made a Mandy boat tee but decided I didn't like that pattern because it was huge in the body but the sleeves were skin tight and I can't roll them up. I like it in pictures on other people. I know you love that pattern. How do the sleeves fit you? I am going to buy some of that sparkly navy sweat shirting if there is any left. It's just up my street. I would like to make a Southbank Sweater dress because I know that works for me.
@Threadquarters
@Threadquarters 3 жыл бұрын
Oh that's good to hear that the Frankie was a great pattern for you. I know its a favourite for many. Yes, the sleeves in the multi-sized pattern of the Mandy are definitely tighter. It would be easy enough to add an extra 1cm to give a bit more room. A Southbank in the sparkly navy fabric will be lovely. Its showing out of stock at the moment, but I'm hoping to get some more in at the end of the week.
