In this Episode of Finding Your Range, I had an amazing discussion with Julian Baker. Julian brings passion, energy and a unique way of explaining things. Julian Baker is the founder of Functional Anatomy and Functional Fascia. He has thousands of hours of dissection experience, as well as 30 years as a Bowen Therapist and is the principle instructor of The College of Bowen Studies.
His focus is always been a whole-body approach with movement and manual therapists in mind. He is an expert member of the FHT as well as a member of The Anatomical Society, Institute of Anatomical Sciences and the Fascia Research Society. His aim is to improve your understanding of the body in a practical way, that will transfer directly to your practice.
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview - we discussed fascia - what is it, how does it impact hypermobility, should we be stretching, can you release tight muscles and can you train your core - and so much more. You don’t want to miss this one.

He is so funny! And brilliant ! Loved it❤ Touched on many things I’ve been feeling with being surrounded by doctors all my life and last 2 years have been running away from these massage therapists who claim to do myofascial release even when I don’t ask for it and most of the time I have ended up wirh more pain the next day.

So if stretching isn’t that great for us, is it the same for trigger point and regular massage?

Dynamic stretching is great - 👍 I’ve got a video about the truth of stretching on here. Myofascial massage also great.

Hiya Jeannie! I'm keen to see the dissection from Julian you mentioned at 7.30. Is there a course I would need to attend? Or is there a youtube video? LOVED this podcast, keep up the amazing work xx
