I’m in Australia and face atelier is hard to find but I’ve been using it for years. It’s a makeup artist brand and is wonderful. The ultra sheers and the facade are amazing too. You don’t need to prime before and actually goes on better on it’s own. It lasts all day and also is water resistant. Thank you for trying this brand as it’s so under the radar.

It was great to see you talk about this Canadian brand, as well as consistently promoting Canadian jewelry designer, Dean Davidson. I adore DD jewelry! It was lovely to see you trying to pronounce the French word, "atelier". It means a workshop or studio where artists create their wares. To make it easier for you, a phonetic version of the word would be "uh-tuh-lee-ay", with the emphasis on the second syllable. Thank you for making such enjoyable content. Yep, I am a sugar addict also. I used to make trays of cookies to take to the office. I also sold some baked goods at our local farmers' market. A lot of work. Since retiring, I only make a few treats for the holidays. Maybe this year I will make more. Sounds good.

I'm anxious to see your decorations! I redo my decorations each year too and I'm very excited this year because I got new prelit garland for my staircase and some bobbles that wind through it that game from Magnolia. I make my own wreaths also so I'm excited to see yours. That foundation looks gorgeous! I'm addicted to Glo Foundation. I just can't bring myself to change although some days I use No.7 from the drug store. Not that often though. I do bake at Christmas. Since we gather at my son's, I take it there. I make snicker doodles, something called a harvest cheesecake which is apple and pecans on top of cheesecake with a graham cracker crust. It's the hit of the meal. I usually bake a pumpkin marble cheesecake and pecan pie as well. For the kids it's rice krispie treats! They love them!!! Addiction is addiction and in some families some are alcoholics and some are foodaholics.

You are so correct Tammy my father was an alcoholic .I have alcoholics on my mother side .I am not, I can have a glass of wine not have one for another year so alcohol is not my thing ,but sugar is and that’s how I put my weight on .I would rather have sugar than any other kind of food. I am addicted to sugar and I have done studies on it also .I had to do a kind of course on it where I worked I won’t go into all of that, so I did do some study and you are exactly correct what you said. I have alcoholics on both sides of my family and my father had told me when he stop drinking he went to sugar. Also it is an addiction and I know some people who have alcoholics in their family are not quite a sugar addict but they are shopaholic ,so it’s a type of addiction. It is something that I told my kids when they were young for them to be careful.

Your application of Atelier is beautiful as usual. I used to do a ton of baking for the holidays but I've pretty much stopped. Like you, I have an addiction to sugar. When I'm being good, I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad, I'm very, very bad. I am recovering from Halloween after falling off the wagon. So aggravated with myself knowing how horrible it makes me feel. So, if I do any baking for Christmas, it will be for the day only and leftovers go home with my son and his family. I'd love to see how you decorate for the holidays. I just moved cross country and have a new home, so I'm sure I will want some new additions to my old decorations.

How honest and sweet of you to state ‘ I am a sugar addict ‘ ‘ I just keep it out of my mouth ‘ !!! Yes , it is very difficult to control sugar addiction and the Christmas period means even more lovely sugar temptations ! If you have a family history of alcohol/substance abuse in your family you can carry a genetic predisposition to not only alcohol abuse but also have a stronger propensity to develop a sugar/processed carb addiction. Also, growing up in an alcoholic home or a family that is affected by an alcoholic and/or addict often creates an environment where we do not develop the ability to regulate our emotions well. This can lead to a perfect scenario to depend on food, sugar, carbs if not also alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, shopping, etc. to cope and manage with emotions that are unmanageable. However if one needs help best to seek a therapist who specializes in addictions. Thank you 🙏 TAMMY for discussing such interesting topics , I am sure we can all relate 😂😂

No, Tammy! We haven't been here long enough! LOL! I could watch and listen to you even longer. Face Atelier has been in my top 5 foundations for several years. I get it here in Dallas from CameraReadyCosmetics.com. It's one of the few foundations that I don't have to use a primer with since it is silicone based. And I don't even have to set it with powder as it pretty much sets itself as the MUA pro showed me when I first purchased it. It looks beautiful on you too. Oh, I can never stop using Revitalash. Have used that for years too and even on my over plucked as a teenager eyebrows. It helped grow in some eyebrows better than I had before too. I'm tempted by the cream to powder eyeshadows. Not sure I have the patience to work them like you do, but they look beautiful on you. Can't wait for the Christmas decor video. I'm overstocked in that area. My husband does one of those crazy light and music Christmas shows in our front yard every year. He wins awards in the community for it. So I have to keep up with him by overdoing it inside the house. Haha! It's always Christmas crazy here. But really looking forward to all the wonderful new things you do. You are so good at explaining and demonstrating things. On lashes, I've tried Latisse, it was great but expensive and tried lash extensions, painful and not worth growing out all the lashed I lost, so I just use a very thin amount of castor oil on my lashes before retiring to sleep. Much better and the right solution for me, just thought I'd share that.

I used the Face Atelier a couple of years ago and didn’t care for it because it made my skin really greasy but now I may try it again since my face is getting drier because of age and chemo. You’re right about sugar addiction- I have a sugar addiction and it’s so difficult to stop. My mother used to put Mountain Dew and Pepsi in my baby bottle. My doctor said that could have caused my “love for sugar “ and of course is a predecessor for my cancer- Rivitalash is AMAZING! I use it because you recommended it and without it I have no eyelashes because of chemo and now I have lashes- and I’m in California and get it from Nordstrom 😅

I did it as a young girl and now I have zilt lol...yes I am baking away...I love to cook year round but especially at TG & Christmas...today I made two pans of my mamas chicken & dressing, sweet potato casserole, pecan pie, sweet potato pie all in the freezer...next week I will do my last minute dishes...the COVID is so bad so with my husbands critical COPD we have to use extreme caution so our son and granddaughter may not get to come...but we are hoping for Christmas😍🎄

Hi Tammy, the foundation and eye shadow sticks are so beautiful on you, plus the lip color is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the products with us. Looking forward to seeing your craft projects for the holidays. I've been using castor oil on my eyebrows and eyelashes and, wow, have the eyelashes grown back thicker and longer, plus not losing so many of them as before. Eyebrows are getting darker and fuller. I just happened to see an article on hair loss and losing eyelashes was a part of the article. So I did research about the oils recommended which were castor oil or pumpkin seed oil and found that they have sufficient results to warrant being used for that purpose. Just wanted to let you know, lots less expensive than the high price serums being sold for eyelash growth.

I was wondering when you were gonna post. I figured you might have been celebrating your birthday. Happy belated Birthday! My was Friday 13th! Yay I turned 42! When I turned 40 I was so depressed, felt like my youth was over, but now I'm going to celebrate my age because it's truly a gift to get to age. My father died of liver cancer at 59 and then my uncle died also not long after. So I'm realizing how precious it really is to get to age.

So do I! Sometimes I’m more successful at cutting out the sugar and sometimes not so much!😉 I don’t bake much anymore either although I used to enjoy it very much. Like you though, I am the one who will eat most of it. I wish I still had the metabolism that I had when I was young! I could eat anything I wanted back then. Alas, that is not the case anymore. I love Christmas baking but I doubt I’ll do any this year. I live in California and we are pretty much in lockdown and get togethers are pretty much frowned upon. My daughter and son in law do not allow us over without masks and they require us to social distance. It kinda takes all the fun out of things. My husband isn’t a sweet eater and our church doesn’t allow any gatherings. So.....maybe next year. PS....you made me smile each time you said Atelier! And, I need to smile! 🥰

Hi Tammy! You are so right about our eye brows. I had beautiful full thick brows which is the “thing “ now. Go figure!! Now because of all the plucking from the late 80s and 90s I barely have any. What do you think about the brow microbladding?

I love Christmas baking , how much I get done depends on how I’m feeling leadng up to Christmas , same goes with my house decor. If I’m having a good phase (healthwise) I might have 3 trees and the whole cha bang, other years it’s one tree and a few decor items around the house. I would really love to see your top Christmas cookies, a bake a long video(s) would be awesome, as would the DIY projects! On a totally unrelated note, do you recommend anything for helping to remove brown pigmentation on the face? It’s to really “age spots”, I had my son when I was almost 45, I got mother’s mask and it did clear up mostly, but there is about a size of two quarters on each cheek that I just can’t get to fade. I use a lot of products you have recommended over the years, I do invest a lot in my skin care, but I just can’t get rid of these spots , just wondering if you had any suggestions ? Thanks :)
