I don’t use it anymore because it’s too expensive to stock in my kit and we no longer need a tool that applies foundation in a more natural manner to the skin because the formulations of traditional foundations have evolved so much. I can get a more airbrushed result with traditional makeup application results than I can with airbrush. But that’s just me!

No brand is truly hypoallergenic (there is someone somewhere that will be allergic to something) just stick to products that have minimal irritants (fragrance for example). Be very cautious during application not to irritate that area and I would recommend using only disposable tools for application.

Hi Angie, thank you for your video. I use number 7 of the Ultra foundation and it seems too dark now, so I mixed it with number 5 and really like the results. I thought I would buy the 0- to lighten it so I wouldn't have to buy 2 shades of foundation, but you mentioned in your video that above shade 6, the 0- starts to gray out the 7 and above shades. I tried shade 6 but the shade is a little off for me. I was really hoping to have the 0- to use with my other darker foundations also, and now I'm not sure what to do. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey Lisa! Keep in mind the undertones of shades 5 and 7 are different. 7 is more olive, 5 is more neutral/yellow. 0- is great when you need one or two shades lighter in the same undertone with the lighter shades in the range. Mixing in shade 5 is probably giving you something that is closer to your correct undertone at the moment which is why it may be working better than 6. Hope this helps!

Hi Angie! Thank you so much for your videos. They are incredibly informative and I have been binge watching this past week. I’m not an artist but a make up enthusiast who wants to look like me but my best version and am tired of Instagram make up videos everywhere so your videos are amazing. I have a question about mixing, you said that the base of Face Atelier is silicone so doesn’t mix well with RCMA but I believe in other videos you mix the two especially for bridal, is this still the case? Is there a proportion you stick to that works well? Can RCMA be used to conceal over this foundation? Many thanks.

Hi Laura! I mix maybe a 5:1 ratio of FA to RCMA (just a guess but it is very little). I would not recommend using RCMA to conceal over Face Atelier. If you are layering concealer over foundation your best bet is sticking with another silicone based concealer.

Hi Angie, If I am using Face Atelier foundations, will I not be able to use my cinema secrets as concealers because of the silicon factor? Hey Susan! I would say give it a test on yourself first to see how the two work together before buying something new. When I apply concealer during makeup application I don't overlap much, so the two are fine together - but give it a try with your application technique and see how it wears for a day.

It would be hard for me to recommend a specific shade (and I don't like recommending when I can't see you in person) I wouldn't want to give you wrong information and there may not be a perfect equivalent in FA. Not sure where you are located but you may want to think about ordering some of the samples to see what would be best.
