I also think Mac’s Prep primer was one of the original and still one of the best. I actually noticed an improvement in the wear of my makeup with it. I think MAC has been such a trailblazer and their products are so consistent and yet so underrated now.

I had already tried the serum foundation and liked it but it is really more of a summer time foundation because the coverage is so light. This was fabulous! I have to get the MAC strobe cream as well as the Viktoria eye liner! I’ve been wanting to try her eye liners for a while now. And I’m SO glad you mentioned the MAC return/empties program ending! I have a bag filled with empties that I’ve been collecting for years now. I’m running to MAC asap, lol!! I’m gonna try Faux (as my freebie). That looks so pretty and I can’t believe I haven’t tried that yet. Blankety has been a fave of mine for years and I do exactly what you mentioned, use it as a base and then choose the lip liner to manipulate the color, so good!! Great video. Love the Jane Iredale purepressed, Hoola bronzer is my favorite also. I hate the cardboard box it comes in. Not great for dipping a bronzer brush. Talk them into a new container.

With the FA foundation, if someone's a dry fairest of the fair cool tone (me!) do you add anything to the. 5 Pearl shade to bring in coolness as I notice online it says it has no pink tones to it?

Thank you Ann! I have on the Chantecaille mascara today. I have been going between that one and the Jones Road one lately. And I don't have a particular brand that I use consistently with mascara on clients, but I do like to use tubing mascaras. I find they work even better than waterproof, and they are easier to get off the lashes.

If you have a good deal of texture, you may try Ilia. The Fenty does impart a tiny bit of coverage since they are tinted, so it may be too much.

Hi Mandy!!! I'm discovering your channel now. I've already watched several videos! Congratulations on your content! I've subscribed to your channel! Well, after watching some of your videos, I would like to ask you. Considering foundations that promise and/or truly have long-lasting wear, medium coverage, and a natural or luminous finish, such as YSL All Hours, Lancôme Teint Idole, Nars Natural Radiant Longwear, Dior Forever Skin Glow, Givenchy Prisme Libre, Anastasia Luminous Foundation, do you still think that Face Atelier Ultra Foundation Pro is the best option? I'm not sure if you have tested all the other foundations I mentioned, but based on the ones you have tested, can we say that Face Atelier is still your number one choice? I'm a makeup artist and I need a foundation with the characteristics I mentioned. I see that you really like Nars' Soft Matte, considering it bulletproof, but I don't want to give up on the luminous finish. To increase the longevity of the foundation, I like to mix it with Kryolan camouflage, and to maintain the luminosity, use liquid highlighters, satin-finish powders, etc.

Yes, I LOVE the NARS because it's so versatile and mixes so well with liquid illuminators and a little goes such a long way. As far as the Face Atelier, I personally like it better as far as a medium coverage for normal/dry skin more than the ones you mentioned for my clients, and I have tried them all. I adore the Lancome personally...in my top 5 for life, but I find I can make fewer colors of the face atelier cover more tones in my kit for some reason. The Lancome would be my second fave, but the Face Atelier is definitely not for oily skin in my opinion.

The jane iredale Beyond Matte Foundation is great! And if you prefer powder, the amazing base is wonderful. I have separate reviews on both.

Blushes are constantly on rotation in my kit so I can't say that there are any that I have repurchased, but Hourglass Luminous Light Ambient Powder has definitely been repurchased as a highlight a few times. I should have included that. The most beautiful, lit from within glow.

There are many sanitizing sprays on the market. Beauty So Clean is a great one. 70% alcohol also works.

Can you shed light on this -- I have heard that PRO complexion products (RCMA etc) are not good for daily wear (for your skin) as consumer brands are. What are your thoughts on that?

I personally don't know that there is any reason they wouldn't work on an everyday basis. Especially the powder products. The cream foundation is amazing and can be manipulated in so many ways. It is heavy on wax, but if you skin is fine with that, I don't see an issue.
