This week we have gone all offset for you! It's the turn of a Fender Custom Shop Jazzmaster, and we've decided to put it up against the super cool Suhr Custom Classic JM. Both fantastic guitars with a striking appearance, and versatile range of tones on tap!

Quite different builds for comparison. The S90 pickup version of the Suhr is also outstanding. Both guitars sound great. Love Suhr pickups.

Would like to see a face off between a Fender Customer Shop Strat (either SSS or HSS), and an Xotic California Style Classic (either XSC-1 or XSC-2).

I can say fit and finish wise is not even close, coming from someone who has owned both. My Xotic is about the nicest built strat ive ever come across. Sound is subjective. Build quality really isnt.

Finally a comparison with good playing. So hard to hear if a guitar is good when a good player's touch isn't there to pull it out.

Not a fair comparison, you should’ve had a Suhr with the S90s and a tremolo to be closer to a real comparison.

I mean that suhr has nothing of a jazzmaster, if that's a tele shape the sound changes nothing at all. It's just 2 humbuckers on a big chunk of wood. Sounds great, but so would any other shape. It's all about the Neck length and pickups.
