@@ExoTheFlyingFish Delayed response. The hit completely disoriented him, but in the mind-- it still hadn't even registered being hit. So the seemingly randomly tutning and hat tossing was partially just instincts and part 'wtf just happened'? Crazy part is, it would even take a minuye or even a few to register (mentally) where he got hit. When everything started to come full circle.. he stood still, then lowered to a knee. Everything returns, to a degree, to acceptance. Put of most of these, that one probably didn't hurt nearly as much as the rest as the brain was given enough awareness to partially register what was going to happen. His didn't. It definitely hurt like a mother after that.

4:30 I noticed someone ask in a comment what the trainer is doing with his arms. It's a signal to stop all play. Believe it or not, the trainers do actually have a good chunk of authority in this regard. Even if a play is going on, if a trainer feels a player may be in a life or death scenario, all he has to do is either look to the center field camera or the scorers booth behind home plate and give this signal. No matter what is happening, this calls a play dead immediately. You could be in the middle of an infield triple, he can stop the play right then and there.

If you look at the number of pitches vs number of face shots and head hits it’s a risk they are willing to take.

Just wanted to point out that if you see a player get hit and the ball go flying off into the boonies, that's a good thing. That means that ball still had a ton of energy and kept most of it, and the hit player is probably okay. That's whay made Happ's hit so terrifying. The ball lands at his feet. His head took all of that momentum and energy. Absolutey brutal (and blew out his knee going down, which took longer to heal from than the concussion).

I felt so bad for Stanton when he got hit. It must’ve hurt like hell since he broke his jaw, and had Dental Damage. He was one of the best players on the Marlins, and he would be hitting Homeruns left and right. It’s pretty heartbreaking seeing someone’s season ending right in front of their eyes, and it not being their fault.

Everyone focused on Stanto but that pitcher hit the next guy in the head too , he was shaken up .
@bend4852 Жыл бұрын
@@peterf.229Yep. They should make pitchers at least take some warmup pitches after hitting someone in the head and make them come out if they're too (understandably) shaken up. Obviously the pitcher didnt mean to do it but if you're that shaken up it can be pretty hard to throw a semi accurate pitch and its probably scary for the next batter after something like that happens as well

@@MMA_Ruskie The ball has as much momentum as the pitcher can put into it, hence the snap of the wrist to give it more speed. Momentum is speed and mass. So you're right that the ball has less mass.
