This was a great video! Concise, and to the point. So many people overlook the importance of showstopping creative and ad copy, and rely too heavily on targeting. Many times the problem isn't in the audience, but the creative or offer. It can be a tough pill to swallow, but sometimes the product simply doesn't offer a good value for what you're asking for. Dynamic creative can be a great way to test different variations if you're stuck on what media or text options to use!

Like should I start with traffic ads first, and if so for how long should I run them before switching to conversion ads and retarget those who already saw my traffic ad and clicked on the website? And if i stop the traffic ad and want to run them again later how do I make sure that fb doesn't show the ad to the ones already saw my ad from my first round of traffic ads? when you made the custom audiences for 3, 14 and 28 days for product pages... do those target people who visited your product page (i.e. facebook page) or just visited product pages in general. just because if you go for the conversion campaign strategy out of the gate you wont have any visits to a new product page. also wanted to ask the same question about 3, 14, and 28 days for cart... do those target people who made it to the cart on any product page? i like the idea of starting a retargeting campaign out of the gate. great content!

Nope! Your cost is not impacted by the type of media you choose, rather it's determined by how competitive your audience is. CPM often shoots up when you're running ads to a group of people in an industry where other advertisers have huge daily budgets (solar is good example), thus driving costs up in a more competitive auction. The other reason to consider is that your ads may not be relevant to the people you show them to, in which case Facebook will show your ads less and also charge you more to deliver your ads. Case in point, make sure you are running quality ads to prevent this from happening! :)

Hi, I've created an ad page previously, and it loaded fine and was published, however recently when trying to publish an ad, an error comes up that I cant seem to get rid of. Its with regards to the Facebook Groups Feed, and it tells you "To deliver to Facebook Groups Feed, change the media for this placement to an image" However it doesn't let you change or delete this so that it can be published. Have you ever come across this issue before?

You don't have to have Shopify. Just skip the parts that specifically relate to Shopify (like setting up a Pixel) and swap it out with your preferred e-commerce platform.
