I discovered your channel through videos of Palma de Mallorca, a place that I love, I fell in love with the island after competing there in several tours of Mallorca. Like Federico, I remain faithful to my Specialized SL5 in the S Works version, both with rim brakes. I love the relaxed videos on various topics.

I did Sa Batalla and Sa Colabra last year on a ride, a tough day out for sure. Iconic as Sa Colabra is, for me Sa Batalla is a more enjoyable climb I thought. Certainly nowhere near as tough Sa Colabra. What I found was to just get to Sa Colabra needs some climbing (unless take easy option of transport there). Anyway, for me it was a big achievement to ride it without stopping! My time was only 30 mins outside KOM(!). What I found was descending it which you have to do to climb it, was seemingly never ending and I couldn't wait to get to bottom as going down all time just showed what was to come on climb. Slightly daunting I thought.
@fede12757 ай бұрын
Yes, the first time I descended Sa Calobra it also felt never ending and I did not enjoy the ride up as I was still nervous. This time I enjoyed it a lot more, did Sa Batalla more relaxed and was careful on the twisty descend. The climb felt easier this time.

@fede12757 ай бұрын
For me that I can fit a cycling trip once a year Mallorca seems a great destination. Other suggestions?
@stevedouglas39757 ай бұрын
It does get busy but you can find quiet routes/climbs. Likes of Sa Colabra will be really busy. I rode it last year end of Oct and it was pretty quiet but if you go during April or Sept it will be rammed with cyclists, tourists, buses etc. I was over on Mallorca a couple weeks ago and was staying in the south so did 5 days riding from there. Some lovely climbs etc but away from busy areas so was great. As for Mallorca, the beauty is a short flight from UK and perfect weather(usually) for cycling on some great roads with awesome scenery. However, everyone is different so what some like others won't. Like most things in life.
