@@amandaroncatobatista2727 Hi Amanda! I can understand that we sometimes choose paths because we want to end some form of internal suffering. But what I learned is whatever path you choose, you'll experience discomfort, you'll feel sad, joyful, anxious, angry, open, enthousiastic, etc. That's just how life works, everything is experienced through cycles and we can't escape them, it is part of our nature. So what I am trying to say is this : you can't escape feeling the way you feel, but you can choose in what kind of environment you feel them and you can choose the reasons why you feel them. Maybe the fog needs to be felt. Maybe it's there because it needs you to breathe throught it to cleanse it. Maybe the clarity is the gift it gives you after having giving it the care and attention it needed.

But sometimes, i have to pause the video to contemplate and enjoy what was said. I say that, i say nothing. Edit: I told him that the reason why his teachings are always on time is because they are timeless. He was so happy that I could see that. And I am happy that you can see it too. HIDING... you spoke about “hiding” in a way that reminded me a beautiful poem by one of my favorites, David Whyte. I think most of your audience would be as blown away as I was when I came across this man’s work. He echoes many of the sentiments taught here by Matt and his ability to put these ideas into words is second only to his eloquence. Here is the poem called “Hiding”: “Hiding” - David Whyte HIDING is a way of staying alive. Hiding is a way of holding ourselves until we are ready to come into the light. Even hiding the truth from ourselves can be a way to come to what we need in our own necessary time. Hiding is one of the brilliant and virtuoso practices of almost every part of the natural world: the protective quiet of an icy northern landscape, the held bud of a future summer rose, the snow bound internal pulse of the hibernating bear. Hiding is underestimated. We are hidden by life in our mother’s womb until we grow and ready ourselves for our first appearance in the lighted world; to appear too early in that world is to find ourselves with the immediate necessity for outside intensive care. Hiding done properly is the internal faithful promise for a proper future emergence, as embryos, as children or even as emerging adults in retreat from the names that have caught us and imprisoned us, often in ways where we have been too easily seen and too easily named. Hiding is a bid for independence, from others, from mistaken ideas we have about our selves, from an oppressive and mistaken wish to keep us completely safe, completely ministered to, and therefore completely managed. Hiding is creative, necessary and beautifully subversive of outside interference and control. Hiding leaves life to itself, to become more of itself. I used to hide in many ways when young and later. The trouble is we can feel that that is wrong, or bad somehow, as if something is wrong with us.but this poem really explains the instinct within us to hide until we are ready to emerge I remember coming across a little piece about a butterfly emerging from it's chrysalis - if you try to help me out, I will die - the butterfly will emerge when it's time is right. So my older sister my mom are devout Christians and swear by the Bible ..my younger sister swears by the JW Bible bc it has not been rewritten for 200 years. I have never seen the light emitted from any of them. They all swear that I have spent my 61 years not loving myself and not loving the God of their choosing. Thanks, Matt, for saying the negative thoughts aren't "mine," that I'm actually tapping into the negative thoughts in the field around me. This helps me feel not quite so thrown off/distressed with Covid-19, which sure provides us humans with plenty of uncertainty. Default leads to fear, which is the last thing we need for our immune systems. We need to stay the course with prudence and a ton of patience. May we all be wiser, stronger and more open-hearted as a result of this challenge.

How this space enabled a self inquiry process which resulted in Spiritual healing, growth, etc. While culturally we may be conditioned to strive for certainty, security, etc., we might consider reflecting upon the gift of our stresses. How the hell does he manage to come out with a video with exactly what I am struggling with at that specific time? This has happened so many times now it is amazing................. It is not EVERY single video, but just enough for it to be noticeable. I woke up this morning feeling vulnerable, pessimistic, a bit helpless and a bit lost............................... A friend sent me the link to this yesterday, and as soon as I saw it today .............. "Yes I am feeling very Uncertain!............................................Or rather I should say I was. Thank you so much Matt for helping put all my "worries and woes" into perspective. Guides help guides, Angels help Angels" .................. I am so much more calm and peaceful after watching this.
