Easily one of the best content creator for Factorio. Dreadfully underrated. Thankyou for your time Sir, I look forward to the rest of the series.

You can now horizontally and vertically flip the oil refinery and chemical plant, which allows you to put inputs of the same type right next to eachother. Not sure if you're aware, just wanted to point it out since this allows for more interesting and elegant designs. Loving the series, especially the timelapses!

I rarely if ever comment on youtube videos. I can really hear the dissapoinment at not being able to get the 'Perfect' timelapse, from a viewer perspective i did not even notice the frame loss tbh. Keep up the work, you seem so sincere and echoed the very same anxieties i had on my first playthrough. It really is a brand new game.

As someone who is trying to build something heavily inspired by this but based more on trains than belts,before leaving Nauvis, there is just so much stuff you have to acount for, if you never done stuff like this before, it doesnt help that im alergic to doing all the math that i should be doing before that. I cant imagine how long you have spent actually developing all the systems for your building style. So whatever i end up with will atleast look nice. I always started to build bigger bases but sooner or later lost interest because i like to be researching while doing stuff and by the time i figured what i want to do i had researched everything and didnt have the motivation to continue, but with space age there is still so much to look forward to. I could have left Nauvis 40h ago but im still having fun there.
@riffzifnab92546 күн бұрын
"I'm a little bit outside of my comfort zone" I think that should be the tag line for Space Age. It makes you deal with new problems and your old solutions don't work anymore. Good on you for restarting, looking forward to the improvements you make. (:

do you have a guide on your blocks? (the layout of your rectangle factories)? not the assembler placement with belt video, but the size of the overall rectangle, etc and your thoughts on your choices?
@theotherbigfoot6 күн бұрын
The question you are asking is deep and complicated. It is part of a subject which I have written several scripts to try and address but have not been able to get right. The best answer I can give you right now is to trust your gut. Pick a block size that you think is about right, try it out, see how you feel about it and next time you build another factory do the same again. Once you have done this a few times you'll start to get a feel for what works for you. Which will no doubt be slightly or completely different from what I do. It's your factory, trust your gut with how you feel about it. To go one step further, I've been playing this game for years now and pretty much since day 1 I've been trying to squeeze factories into tight spaces. The more I do it the better I get. I can only give so much advice when part of the answer lies in a lot of hard work, of attempting and failing and learning.
