I played this at my first husband's funeral. Initially I was informed the preacher refused to play it, which I knew he had just saw the artist's name and said no without listening. Of course I immediately responded the service will be held elsewhere, I wasn't folding. In the end he folded, and after the service numerous people repeatedly asked the preacher the name of the song and artist because it brought everyone to tears. I know my husband loved every moment he had to utter the words Metallica! 🤟❤

I love this song. I love the whole era of Load, Reload, Garage Inc, and S&M. Tons of experimental stuff going on and it's all awesome to me. Too bad a lot of fans didn't appreciate this era very much. I don't know, I like it when artists switch up their style sometimes and don't allow themselves to be boxed in. True artists are able to effectively cross genres. It shows their depth of knowledge of music. That isn't always the case of course. Sometimes they just sellout for the money or are forced to by a label or something crappy like that, but I don't feel like that's what was going on with Metallica. This era was about growing as artists and musicians (and frankly just having fun), and I think they did a lot of that in the 90s.

Absolutely love when artists experiment with different sounds and styles, they create so much more that way. The fans that don’t appreciate it are the same people that would’ve gotten bored and complained about Metallica doing the same thing for so many years. I’m so happy they don’t give a shit about what people think, they do what they do for themselves and the people who enjoy it.

Love Low Man's Lyric. Metallica got a lot of criticism for TBA and more so for Load/Re-load. But I do appreciate if artists keep looking for ways to express themselves honestly instead of repeating the formula that got them success.

I get James on a level beyond music. We all grow up with something that molds us,his was religion, mine was an evil stepfather who broke our family. I guess that is what drew me to Metallica. Thigs their songs are about mirror my youth quite closely. Yes even the dark thigs.

Here's a side of Metallica you don't see much. Softer. Showcases the true voice that James has. The man can sing.

If you haven't checked out spit out the bone from the last album, it might be a good choice. Or here comes revenge is another great track.

First time I've heard this song of theirs, def don't remember it from the 2000 concert I went to. KZbin is showing the video was released in 2012 so that makes sense. Then again, they got less heavy over the years so... that makes sense I guess.

Fixxxer, The Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me are excellent suggestions for reactions particular to this era of Metallica.
