Jack-In-The-Box restaurants had the damn things back in the early 1980's. They called them "Pizza Pockets", they were around before Hot Pockets, even. They were amazing, but a lot of people burned themselves and they sorta dropped in popularity. They were priced pretty steeply, too. $2.39 was a lot of money in 1984.

It's got to be dipped in batter from the chippy and then deep fried. Have you ever had a chippy? Chip shop? Because that in itself is glorious. Sausage supper (a massive sausage dipped in this beautiful batter and deep fried. With chunky deep fried chips and chippy sauce. Which is made with brown sauce and vinegar and it's my holy grail of condiments) Add in a can of vimto (do you have vimto?!) Biting into that pizza with its greasy batter coating and tasting that glorious warm thick fluffy pizza. Ughhbtkylhssv. Just ughmmmphhh 😂😂
