Have you tried keeping a subtitle on every "surfing" scene "this is done by a professional, don't attempt to do anything in the video" this should be useful if in the unlikely event going ontop of elevators gets blocked.

Hi Ben, As you probably know the city of Paris in France did install CCTV cameras with built-in facial recognition as well as automatic alerts to the police in case they detect suspicious behaviors (Like drawing a weapon for example) to secure the olympics. But I wonder how they could affect us, lift enthusiasts, especially when entering and exiting many buildings and sometimes opening key boxes on the street. Any idea ? Thank's ! (I'm a little worried because they might end up putting them everywhere, not just in Paris and not just for the games).

Hi Beno! I have a feeling you might need to make a PSA for young lads trying to imitate you. My friend wants to imitate you and he is young, he really wants to imitate you and uses your vids for guides. I just feel its important so he wakes up and realizes its bad. I tried to stop him but he doesn't listen.

It is not as simplistic as this. There are multiple things to this, and an overly simplistic message of "do not do this" doesn't explain it, and is not necessarily the message I want to give quite in that way. Also a simple "do not do this" message would be seen as a meaningless disclaimer (like a lot of youtubers do) which everyone knows to ignore. The issues with doing certain activates is about the intelligence and understanding of the person who wants to do it. There will be some people who want to copy who are not capable of thinking things through for themselves, who will copy mindlessly. Those people are the ones that put themselves in danger. Meanwhile there are other people who do have the intelligence to understand what they are doing and to learn how to do things properly. Peoples intelligence varies from person to person. I disagree with people trying to claim this is an age related issue. Everyone is an individual and should be treated as such. I have known 13 year olds who have been more intelligent than a lot of adults and have been able to to learn skills and achieve things that most adults can't achieve. I have known 13 year olds who surf lifts and climb and drive tower cranes. Also when I was new to riding freight trains, I was taught how to do it by a 13 year old. This is not the narrative that most people would think of. A child taught an adult to do a "dangerous" activity. But on this occasion the child had more skill and knowledge than myself and chose to share this knowledge. I disagree with age discrimination. Another thing that shows up the hypocrisy, is on the internet there are many children who have learnt and perfected the skill of climbing and abseiling, which is a quite technical hobby with no room for mistakes. Yet it is seen as "young child has an amazing skill and goes on adventures at a young age", meanwhile hobbies like surfing are seen as "child puts themselves in danger in terrible reckless activity". Both are equally dangerous. People choose to put the prejudice on subjects. And as for people trying to imitate me, it all depends on what mindset they have, and whether they are attempting to copy mindlessly, which would not be good. But if they are wanting to put in the time and effort to do things properly then that is not a bad thing, but they may need someone to look out for them to make sure they don't make any mistakes.

@@benolifts Agreed, but even tho I explained to him the dangers and that copying others in KZbin is dangerous and he has little experience. He can't even reach the door rollers. When asked basic safety basic aspects he clearly just copies you and tries to justify it as you as a "tutorial". I do not agree with age discrimination however he is risking injuries because he has no experience and takes your videos as tutorials, even after being warned they are not for tutorials. Also he cannot access the cartop (he thought he had to jump a floor avobe.) (I forgot to add the original statement)
@betaanalog300Ай бұрын
(so basically hes doing it mindslessly which I forgot to add the original statement)
@betaanalog300Ай бұрын
also hes planning to do it alone, he thinks that between your videos and ROBLOX (there are very realistic lifts and companies that do not give an accurate training) yet he still ignores even responsible adults. (I forgot to add the original statement)

It is hard for me to know what to say as I don't know this person or the situation. Roughly what age are they, and do they have experience with mechanical things, logical reasoning and problem solving? Also I would not encourage anyone (of any age) to attempt something like this alone
