Good job on the salmon catch,that filet size and color was unreal!!Man line in the prop 🙁is bad,good thing the water was good enough to see what you’re doing under there. Bet that water was cold too!And more crabs to eat, talk about living off the sea 👍

Just a fish cleaning tip Cut the fish along the bottom. Clean out the intestines first then cut off the back bone. Took a chance by cutting the top of the salmon. If you puncture the stomach or intestines by mistake you could ruin the meat. Hope you guys are staying safe amid the coronavirus pandemic. Not sure if I am going to meet my goal of sailing in the next few years. I need a hip replacement and my son might have cancer. He is a rock right now. Another great video!! Keep em coming please!!

Great tip! We will use that moving forward. We are safe here in Washington, hunkered down on the boat. It's giving us lots of time to work on new videos, so that's a silver lining to this whole situation. We are hoping to get back to Barkley Sound this summer, but who knows when the border will open back up. Sorry to hear about your medical stuff- stay safe and we very much appreciate your comments and viewership!

That’s PNW dream fishing day IMO - monster salmon in the morning, use the carcass to get Dungeness in the afternoon. Amazing. Hopefully can pull something like that off this summer!

Great catch. Any humane dispatch method you can share?
@CruisingMaya3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We tend to dispatch fish with a bludgeon to the head with the end of an oar.... not elegant but you can tell it does the job quickly. I've heard of people pouring alcohol in fish gills... might be worth a try!
