The main issue is that the original dress was a brilliant silver, but you never see that opalite style purplish blue color on a dress. It's always only ever aqua colors, never that rich soft blue. What a nice quality.

The story puts forward the lack of agency in Cinderella, and the only way to change that is through a man whom she barely knew. Also it's odd that the Fairy Godmother didn't show up when she was abused, but only appear when she needs to go to ball? A confounding character.
