@@janefkrbtt True that, but the references of isaac are mostly made towards the old testament, something christianity has distanced themselves from throughout the years, even though its still technically part of their religion, i think that's what was meant. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but besides maggy and maybe 10 items, there a no religious connections to the new testament as far as i know. I know the game is still based on christianity, but it does draw a lot more from the old testament, which is shared with the judaism.

Genuinely understand why bingus didn't really get a kick out of the game. It has plenty of really really cool moments that left me on the edge of my seat but then the rest was me leaning back in my chair and pressing the arrow keys and occasionally the spacebar. Granted, I still love FAITH, but I totally get why bino didn't enjoy his time with it, especially because FAITH isn’t exactly a game made for streaming. Even if I didn't get why, thats just how the cookie crumbles sometimes, and if he doesn’t like it, then he doesn’t like it, no more, no less. I'm still hella glad bingo bongo played it. Maybe after a quick 4 hour wendigoon story explanation he can hop back into it on his own time and have a bit more understanding of what the hell is going on in that acid trip.

When I first scouted for the game by watching the trailer, verdict came quickly: Very first degree horror, and they've chosen to go for the clichés. But when I saw him mention it several times on the channel, I decided to give it a go. I saw my verdict realise itself to the fullest extent, however I still enjoyed the game if only because of the unique retro artstyle, which was very well emulated, and the overall quality and pacing of the game and gameplay (also warding of evil with a cross like a meme is something you weirdly don't have very often in video games). I think there's a nostalgic appeal to it, reminiscing the flash era games and small Gamemaker projects, and that likewise have a bit of this first degree horror. It personnally brought me back the the Deep Sleep series, one of my favs when it comes to flash horror games.

the fact that its not brought to attention much tells me that the leg injury thing was a retcon rather then the orignal character design. I assume too many game testers complained about the dogshit walking speed, but the dev didn't want to change it so he made some bullshit up last minute to justify making the game worse for some schizo reason.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't see the appeal either. This just kinda seemed like, not, fun? You walk and walk, and walk, and then get insta-killed by a creature that sprung out and gave you a nanosecond to react. Then you do it again until you kill the thing and repeat. And, the story, is boring? I don't understand, I'm not invested in John or Amy's struggle slightly. I cannot even remember the rest of the characters because everything about the experience is so forgettable. I'm not saying the game's bad. Not by any means. Clearly someone has put a lot of work and passion into it and, I'm not gonna bash that. But, it is boring.

You're not too old and not too old, this games story is suuuuuper generic and people just overhype it lol. It's literally a giga generic exorcism story but the order of events is scrambled for those "Wow! Now I get how that happened :0" moments. Aka, cheap attempts at twists and reveals that don't work well in a giga generic super short video game chapter story format. This game would've just been better if the story events happened in the correct order honestly, that way it may have been possible to immerse yourself in the character instead of just wondering what is going on and how we got here the entire time.

Gotta say, i watched this because I am really curious about this game since even aviators made a song about it.
