The biggest issue has to be fakes circulating in the 2nd hand market being sold on as genuine irons.

100%, and I know people don’t like fake clubs being brought to attention, but if people aren’t aware of how good they look, how will they be aware that they’re on the second hand market. We can’t stop people buying fake, but we can make people aware that they look real but don’t feel the same.

They are genuine irons made by a different manufacturer they share the same model number p770. It would like saying FordV8 sedan is a fake because Holden V8 sedan came out first. Both perform very similar.

Although the big brands are grossly overpriced, fakes are just wrong. They are stealing, its criminal and should be shut down. They also dupe the unsuspecting buyer with an inferior product. They should put their own name and brand on the clubs and sell them as an alternative. It would be up to you fellows to then compare and make recommendations. It's like owning a fake Rolex watch, it looks great, it keeps time but you know in your gut that it is a fake. Great vid and I always appreciate your content.

I've had mizuno Mp20's from ali until recently now real ping i230. The metal wasnt as soft as real mizunos ( ive got 225 3 and 4 iron). But theyve hit well, just the mp20 in itself was too unforgiving for me. Ping i230 are in a whole different class in regards to consistency but if you are starting out I feel its better to get aliexpress new than old and worn 8 year old genuine second hand. You will not get a forged iron but it can get you to a 15 hcp no problem, and I didnt swap shafts. Just S flex on ali

Also the biggesr giveaway was the grooves. They aliexpress had more and "unfinished" grooves, if you want to spot a fake. And the dents were much chippier(because of cast) than just a dent which happens with the real deal.

I don't think I could go through all the hassle of buying the fakes, playing them and find the shafts are crap then having all the shafts replaced. I think if I was short an cash I would go either second hand or if I had to have new clubs I would look at some of the direct to consumer sets, to me they are better options.
