I watched this trial from beginning to end. Ronnie O'Neal is not crazy, he put on the "hell, fire, and brimstone preacher act" for affect. He wanted to come across as someone who was questionably sane. He knew what he was doing. Blaming someone he killed for the murder of his daughter and the assault on his son is despicable. He knew she couldn't testify against him. To put the neighbor and his son through reliving that nightmare is cruel. The way he asked the neighbor questions, he limited the answers he could give. There were objections by the prosecution all over the place. Then his son, trying to make the boy feel like he lied about his mother. But he knew it was his dad. I'm so very thankful that he has been adopted by a loving family who continues to give him the love his mother gave him. I pray over time, he will heal emotionally and psychologically. He lived it once and had to relive it again in the face of his father's questions. The very man who committed the acts of violence.

I kinda question how much of what he said is true. People say anything for clout, and, as I'm sure you can imagine, criminals aren't exactly the most honest people. This was such a high profile case that if it were true, we would've heard about the attacks on his life in prison. Not just that, but that ex-offender basically just snitched no his younger brother, which is also a big no-no and would've gotten his little brother in more trouble with the law. Truth be told, in most cases, COs and inmates will leave you alone if you leave them.

@@SewardWriter meh, tbh people should be aware that it's a fucking stupid decision to stay with an abusive partner. Most women I've talked to who got out of an abusive relationship were very aware that it was a fucking stupid idea to stay with that guy. Saying that staying with abusive partners is a fucking stupid thing to do might feel bad for some victims but it may help people who have not become victims yet to realize that what they are doing/think about doing is a fucking stupid idea before it's too late. It's helpful to remind people that they do have a choice in these situations, that getting abused by your partner in any fashion is not normal or tolerable and that the totally normal reaction to such behaviour should be cutting all contact with that person and reporting them to the police. That they do have a choice and the smart choice is to ditch such people out of your life rather than some "oh well this just happens, nothing you could've done to avoid that" coddling. To hush out the fact that in every abusive relationship there is a victim that choses to stay will just make some people who are being victimized right now that their situation is normal, that they don't have a choice and it's perfectly normal to stay with that person. I'd rather have people have the instant reflex of "this person is abusive towards me, everyone always says that what a monumentally fucking stupid idea it is to spend any time at all with such people so maybe I shouldn't" than making sure that people who thought being close to such a terrible person is a good idea don't feel bad about their frankly just terribly stupid decision. We all make mistakes but if we wanna make sure to not repeat them we better make sure we understand and learn from them and when it comes to messed up shit like abusive partners we better talk openly and clearly about how to recognize these patterns and tell people to avoid them at all fucking cost. "Everyone makes mistakes" sincerely does not carry the gravity of making the life-long-trauma mistake of staying with an abusive partner. "Staying with an abusive partner is a fucking stupid, sincerely life ruining decision no matter how bleak the alternatives may appear" carries that gravity much better in my oppinion.

I want to say so much about videos like this. First Thanks to TMM for bringing the stories shows like Dateline will never cover. Second the trauma and pain of acts like this go so far beyond the family. I will admit on MANY videos I watch here I have to take breaks due to either rage or sorrow. But I still watch not because of any sense of schadenfreude or because I like crime but so that these stories don't get washed over and buried and to learn what to look for. Last. To Deputy Blair. YOU are a hero. You and others like you make this world still worth living in and make people like me always look out and be ready to help those in need. Thanks to anyone who reads this. Thanks to those true heroes out there. And thanks to those that still show light in this world of darkness.

I understand the idea of “burden of proof” and “innocent until proven guilty”. I get that. BUT, our judicial system, in my opinion, held the rights of this man priority over the child’s. Our country is all about protecting our children and doing what is in THEIR best interest. But, do they??? Really?? CPS has a poor track record of this. Our prison system and courts fails on this over and over again. Violent offenders, pedophiles, and sexual predators are released on “good behavior” all the damn time. They let these sick predators out in the hopes they will not reoffend. But most do! The facts show this. It’s a broken system and SO MANY innocent people become victims to repeated offenders BUT ALSO a broken system.

I once worked with a paranoid schizophrenic. How I found out she WAS one is because one night she suddenly started blubbering as she told me, “The government broke into my house, drugged me and broke my grandson’s legs right in front of me (instantly changes to a psychotic voice for this next part) CAUSE THEY DON’T WANT ME PRAYING!!!!” Yikes, wtf!!! And of course it was ME she decided to reveal her crazy to. Ronnie’s opening statement sounded EXACTLY like the shit I used to hear this woman say, crazy conspiracies and religious idealization. Was he competent to stand trial? Was he aware of what he did? I don’t know… He certainly wasn’t remorseful. When the judge was speaking to him at sentencing, he showed no emotion at all and only gave the occasional, non committal hum. That tells me he’s competent enough to know he doesn’t care about the outcome. He was also smart enough to know how to manipulate his son. I also noticed in his opening arguments that he continuously said the evidence would show his son did not see him kill his mother. Not that he didn’t do it, just that his son didn’t see him do it… It just makes you wonder, is all. Personally, I think he’s exactly where he needs to be, suffering his own personal hell here on earth. And then he has real hell to face after this. It’s poetic justice. I was really glad to see the pictures of little Ronnie with his new family. He really seems to be thriving, which is amazing considering all that poor boy went through. Serious round of applause to the Blair family for helping him through such a traumatic experience and giving him a chance at having a good life. People were angry that a child had to testify against his attacker but let me explain. Ronnie put on one hell of a show! Procecutors were very worried that he would get off with an insanity plea and they couldn't let that happen. So they needed to show the jury concrete evidence. So what better evidence than his own son RJ, who not only witnessed the murders but was also attacked by his father and lived to tell his story. Yes, testifying against his father would be hard for this baby but he was the only one who could put this monster away for life. Ronnie tried everything to get out of this! He blamed the murders on his child and he even tried to make his son look like an unreliable witness by claiming his son was mentally ill, a liar, had PTSD, traumatized etc.. He even tried to intimidate his son on the stand by yelling and asking confusing questions. But that baby stood his ground and he did an amazing job on the stand! He faced his attacker, his own father and that baby told the truth! I am so proud of him! He stood for his mother, his sibling & himself that day. He did what many adults couldn't do and he testified! Absolutely amazing kid!

The dispatchers name was Donna Reneau. I’ll never forget their names. As a dispatcher, you are trying to stay focused and ask specific questions and get as much information as possible in order to help. I understand that. It does not mean that you are inhumane. But …. From the wise mind of the great Red Foreman: “And you are about to read [evidence] that my foot wrote, it is called ‘On The Road To In Your Ass’!!” *to clarify, this isn’t towards the jury, this is towards “Discount Lawyer Ronnie”… ya know, since evidence was everywhere, we may have some papers stuck to our shoes, and could help him sneak it in his prison purse to read. Cuz he’s a moron.*

The dude at 911 saying Ma'am hello, Ma'am hello, when she is screaming like that? WTF is wrong with him? She is OBVIOUSLY in no condition to have a f'ing conversation with you.

That whole family. Poor Keke, and poor Ron'Niveya. They deserved so much better from life. May their memories be blessings, and may Ha'Shem protect Little Ronnie. 💖

His testimony just dug a bigger hole for him. He confessed without confessing. Hes a big dummy and psychopath.

Did they pass out aspirin or tylenol hourly at this trial? The yelling, and theatrics were more than any TV drama crap ever.

Why they even let this clearly insane person defending himself in court and questioning his victim is beyond me

That 911 operator just casually saying "ma'am hello" when that woman is screaming for her life is disgusting. How can you be so casual in that moment?!

Mr. Blair, and family! You are a God send! This judge should have shut his opening statement down - what a ridiculous load of shame!

I got a headache listening to this jackass try to defend himself in court. Dude, you're trying to preach to the choir and he decidedly to turn his own day in court into a circus act that just dug his own grave. I just wish the judge told him to chill out and he is making a mockery of his own statements with his outbursts and shouting, that this is not a tv drama or movie. Edit: I skipped the last half, my brain couldn't take his narcissistic delulu self rant of defense anymore.

God his “speech” at the trial was like something out of a dark SNL sketch like he basically said “here is all the information that proves I’m absolutely 100% without a doubt guilty… but trust me I’m not”

What's with these damn 911 dispatchers?!? Neighbor calls 911 & says her neighbor's getting beat up, and the dispatcher's response is "what's going on there?". She tells him what she heard that made her call... and again, but with an even shittier attitude, he asks "what's go on there?". The guy is clearly in the wrong line of work!

All that shouting in the court room 😤 He has zero understanding or intelligence and has simply watched way too many movies. This isn’t my cousin Vinny you monster. The jury deserve a medal for listening to that all day 🙉
