I bought mine recently, which works flawlessly. Tune+ isn't listed in their dealers list, but there is not a doubt in my mind that they would ever sell fake units. Also mine passed all the signs anyways. I had just happen to have my box sitting right in front of me when i clicked this video.

i got mine installed today on my mk5 gti end it works great man!. i thougt my original was not good en it was , there were 2 ruptures in it en the new dv+ got on perfectly en works great. very pleased with it!.

Thanks for this, can you also show the back sides of each piston ? I believe them to also be machined differently. I am trying to determine if mine is fake. My Box opens up like the fake one, but my foam is very dense and the screws have markings.

I let the fake valve go already... Compare the stickers and look at the print on the side of the black housing.

The eBay ones are $139 US (offers for lower can be made), the direct from GFB ones are $114. With the $70 AU / $55 shipping, it's still safer to buy direct from GFB...just sucks to pay $55 shipping for something so small.

I actually bought one off Amazon for 28 bucks to try it... Feels solid but I don't think I lubed it properly cause I used the recirculation hose to vent to atmosphere and get a flutter sound.... Or maybe the springs are to tight and it isn't opening all the way... But it does feel good on the throttle and my ecoboost holds boost way better.

Don't know why anyone would intentionally buy a fake one to be honest. Sure you save a buck in some cases, but I got mine for my GTI from ECS Tuning for $140 with free shipping on orders over 100 bucks and for what you get, it's a really good price. The Install was relatively easy, part quality is a 10/10, and I've had mine on my car for almost a year at least with rather spirited driving as my daily and haven't had a single issue. It hold boost at stage 2+ easily and could probably hold 30+ lbs of boost no problem. Also, the DV is an essential part of the turbo system so you want to the best parts you can get to make sure everything runs properly. Buying a fake DV+ or any other DV or BOV is just stupid in my opinion.

Mine is legit and is crap. When it gets hot it starts giving errors due to getting stuck. Would rather have bought a fake one, at least would have wasted less money.

Basically all Valves which are cheap price and under about 130 Euro total Costs are fake Valves. Please Check offer, the prices and the video then you are safe

If it is truly a fake one, contact the seller and demand a refund... If they don't then file a charge back with your CC company. Also, please contact Go Fast Bits directly with the name of the seller so they process as well.

Yeah don't be a sucker, you can buy the knockoff on eBay for 30 bucks! Then by bolts at the hardware store. Works great! :)

Mistuffcah Inc. Not if, but WHEN, the piston face seal lets go on your knockoff valve, it’s getting sucked directly into the turbo. Have fun with that. It’s not a beater Honda Civic, have some pride in your euro car and drop $100 on the real thing.

HowdyasayFlapjack I kind of hear you, but if that's the logic, why not spend the extra cash to put in a real controller and vavle? They are both cheap alternatives already. I see no way for this piston head to do such. Its basically the same part. It did fail after the first day, top piston wasn't set on the spring right, put it back on working great again. If it fails again I might buy the gfb one, but they're probably maid in the same shop in China anyways. Lol Planning a real controller when I get the cash. That's way I went with the cheap, cheap for now. Thanks for the heads up though.

I got the one off eBay, that I now know is fake. Thanks to the OP for the video identifying it. I'm getting an immediate CEL with the fake one. Going to put the factory one back in for now. Has anyone else has problems with the fake one giving Check Engine Lights (the P2261) ?

@@Mental_Toss_Flycoon have used fake for over year...hasn't been in sucked in yet. The fluttering sounds cooler and works 90%+ of the time properly. I just installed a genuine GFB DV+ and it seems to be slightly better. Not $100 better though to be honest.

@@adhizzle9985 fake and original how about the spring rate? is it same or fake stiffer or something. i get the coded every time, some said is nothing else problem because GFB design stiffer spring and some how the DME detect as the piston are jam. one of my friend install the turbosmart, it always there like divert jam close. so I still wondering the shadow code appear is actually ok for this?
