It just shows comics accurate can work, if the material makes it believable as combat wear. See also, all Iron Man armours of the MCU. It's kinda amusing though, we get the ridiculous side of "comics accurate" in WandaVision, with the Halloween costumes, and the serious side here, with Sam. It's great to see that piece of meta being given both sides.

I don’t think it works that way. Cap was clearly stronger than Bucky and he was much weaker than Bucky before the serum. I think it just depends on the quality of the serum and Walker and the Flag Smashers took the same stuff. He’s just more experienced than the Flag Smashers and I think he got a higher quality serum than Bucky

It made a teenager super strong. John Walker was Olympic/pro level athlete given a serum that increased his already formidable strength and stamina.

Honestly, as much as I love Marvel in general, that's the only thing I want from them at this point. In all seriousness, Marvel is now at the point, not every damn thing they produce has to focus on action/superheroes. Marvel really is it's own production studio. I'd love NOTHING more from them than to give us something that really has literally 0% superhero stuff.

He never gave up the mantle of the Winter Soldier though. And the White Wolf is more of a Wakandan nickname for him, not a formal title. Based upon leaks and rumors, Bucky is getting his own show called Nomad. So I’m assuming he’s gonna retire the Winter Soldier mantle there, and take on the mantle of Nomad which was formerly used by Steve.

When it comes to Karli, the thing that all the people who hate her character seem to forget is that she supposed to be 19 years old, she’s just a kid, so she was 13 or 14 years old when the snap happened. Personally I love the character, and seeing her be killed is horrible, she had all the potential to change, and think of who she could have been able to become if she could accomplish is at 19. There was no way that Karli was actually going to pull the trigger on Sam, her frustration with his unwillingness to fight her was already showing that he was still getting through to her. Sharon could see it also and so shot her to protect her identity, rather than to protect Sam.

I think you missed the point of the cut to John when he said "people are gonna hate me for it" haha. He doesn't hate Sam for it, but people also hated John for trying to take Steve's place (especially real world people). A lot of his story was struggling to deal with the pressure of being Cap, so I think he actually empathizes with Sam in that moment even if he can't relate to being a black man carrying the shield. At least that's how I read it.

I totally called it. Sharon was the Power Broker, but it's actually devastating that she's basically "consumed by the dark side". She needs to be Bucky's supergirlfriend damn it! Still, on a brighter note, Steve is the OG, Isaiah deserved that respect, John was...thankfully temporary but not a bad guy, Sam in all honesty has got to be the BEST Cap anyone could ask for. He's even making speeches the way Steve did. It definitely ain't the shield, it's the heart. Go Sam and Bucky! Go Captain America and Winter Soldier!

When Sam talked about hate they focused on John not because he hates Sam but because he understands. John is a soldier, he was never fit to be Captain America but the government dumped that responsibility on him. I think he'll be a good US Agent, and he seemed happy, he likes following orders. Sam Wilson is a great man with a huge heart, not a perfect soldier but someone we can look up to. And Bucky has a family now and a friend. Yeah, I'm with you, Karli was annoying. I'm glad she's gone.

Somehow, during the conversation between Batroc and Carter our D+ language settings got switched to French (We’d paused and backed up, so we must have hit something else). It made sense to have them speaking to each other in French so we didn’t think anything of it, but Sam comes in speaking French and I found myself impressed for a few seconds, until I realized his mouth was not quite lining up with his speech. The man who blew up the carload of flag smashers was Zemo’s butler. I believe there were 7 Super Soldiers in addition to Karli; Carter killed Karli and a second one, John killed the one last episode, Zemo’s butler killed four, and the only one left was the one who went into the river that we never saw a resolution to. (Maybe it was only 7 total and the four killed in the bombing included the swimmer, but that was left out. I dunno). I actually wanted Walker to have a chance to redeem himself, he did exactly what he had been trained to do and was villainized for it (Not because he’s a bad person, but because he wasn’t quite fit for the job he was pushed in to... He was a good soldier, but Captain America should be so much more than just a “good soldier”). So with that all in mind I’m happy with how his arc ended. It’ll be interesting to see how the Dark Avengers plays out. I believe Sharon was always bad. She first appeared in Winter Soldier where we find out Hydra had taken over SHIELD. She was just always playing the double agent. She’s totally a future villain (Captain America 4 or 5? Since Sam is the one who get her pardoned, it’s definitely something he’ll have to come to terms with).

Um Sharon made Karli and used her and the others as her muscle. She just got out of control . I’m hoping it’s a Skrull but she was giving a whole vibe from her Revenge TV show character so we know she can pull it off.

Is that why it looks chintzy? Don't mind me, I didn't like Cap's suit in the Avengers movie either. The WW2 based design looks more practical to me. ... I expected that case to contain a Cap/Falcon suit, but I expected them to make it out of Vibranium & nano particles like Black Panther's suit, or the last Iron Man suit.

Sam being captain was something I waited for for so long! He is a good man just like Steve and that will make him a great cap! The scene with Isaiah was heartbreaking also I felt so proud! And Bucky having found a family was heartwarming I was so happy for him he deserve happiness finally lmao he is the cool uncle and we love that!

I also usually like magic more, but I liked this more then Wandavision. WV is 8/10, this is 9/10. But I'm super hype for Loki and then next year Multiverse of Madness.

Zemo was right about Karli, he said she would continue to escalate, and turn into a supremacist, and that is what was happening. Saying she only wanted to kill people that mattered, she was already starting to see herself as superior to everyone else. If they didn't stop her there, who knew what she would become?

I'm a little surprised you forgot Zemo's valét & pilot from episode 3. That was him in the limo after the riot van was blown up. I'm not surprised that Sharon turned out to be the Power Broker, being as jaded as she's become, but it is too bad she's probably a villain now. Aunt Peggy & Steve definitely would not approve.

I honestly liked Karli. She wasn’t a villain, she was a misguided teenager who suffered a lot, and it was kinda the GRCs fault she chose this path. Plus, the super soldier serum amplified all her anger and rage. I didn’t hate Sharon before but I kinda do now for killing Karli and choosing to engage in corruption and a life of crime even after she got pardoned. Peggy would be Ashamed.

"Disney doesnt get political." It's not Disney, or anyone else, its just the climate of what the real world is right now. It's Malcolm Spellman, being a black man, and writing the very real struggle of a lot of what that is in America and globally, and using the character of Sam Wilson and BUcky to convey a moral lesson, just like the best Marvel comics stories tend to do. They're exciting, but usually the best stories have something very powerful to say about the real world we live in, the place outside our window, as Stan Lee eloquently once put it. And its one of the reason that Marvel, as a company, has endured for so many decades. Marvel Studios has only existed for ten years, so its a young division, but it's echoing the best of it's writers and its artists, whose stories made us think things that opened our eyes long after we turned the last page in the story. And then we picked up the next comic and so on and so forth. Disney doesnt do much, they jsut say "Hey, we'll distrubute your content, but the stories are yours, guys. Go nuts."

Two of my favorite parts were when the Solider acknowledged Buck as Sgt. Barnes, and the guy that thanked him for saving their lives when he got the leader out of the truck. Because he was under Hydra's control he was never considered a hero. Also he got to do a Superhero landing!

For instance, in Waco, they recently put up a memorial to Doris Miller, who was the first African American to receive the Navy Cross for heroism at Pearl Harbor. •You forgot she was the Power Broker, the criminal ruler of Mandripoor. Now that she is pardoned and once more CIA, she is now in a position to sell US military and tech secrets to the highest bidder.

And as for the serum I think it works the same on everyone there are no different levels of strength it's just how you use the strength. For example walker and bucky are both soldiers with fight training while the flag smashers just have the serum and they're strong but that doesn't necessarily mean they know how to fight.

The *only* failure of this episode is we didn't get to see Bucky and Mr. Nakajima really talk about what happened. It was insufficient.

When you think about it, Sam too was a soldier in the US army and worked for the american government. He introduced himself in Captain America 2 as a war veteran, and we can see him in action for and with the US army in the first episode of this show, when he engages Batroc's helicopter. In fact, all Captain Americas were soldier in the US army before they became Captain America. I'm not saying Sam has to work for the government and I don't think he will, but I don't thik it would necessarily be bad either.
