It's hard to believe they were the size of that egg not so long ago...and at this stage, you can actually see exactly where their ears are when they take their selfies...adorable fluffballs!!!❤❤🎉🎉

I was preparing myself for a raucous flapping session from Garamma and Yira, but I was pleasantly surprised and perhaps a tad disappointed that they were well behaved 🥰❤️❤️🐥🐥🌈

Hi bird people i am a learner! How do the chicks know when to fly 🕊️ as in s box 🎁 surely they get one attempt & i don't want to Google information as learning about the bauld eagles Jackie & Shadow & this family i just discovered! Love & light 🍀💚👍

It's pure instinct.

@@skhideaways Thank you very much indeed! Must be super instincts & as a thick Irishman I'm guessing they never crash land! Amazing insight & instincts 👌🍀👍

The same way when we learn how to walk. It's all programmed into their body. They gennerally avoid the ledges until their flying wings is complete.
@skhideawaysАй бұрын
@Sean_-ED well, they don’t typically crash land because at fledging age they can glide, but do sometimes get grounded and have to be rescued. If they are uninjured, they are typically returned to the nest, assuming the nest is somewhat accessible. This is not the case with eagles, as they commonly spend time on the ground, unlike falcons.

@@skhideaways Thanks very much appreciate the feedback & good to know that they can be put back in nest as all a learning curve for me.Thank you 🍀👌👍

Ah, the ermine-trimmed robe Cruella de Vil stage has arrived. So funny watching these two floofy clowns galumphing around the nest, knee deep in feathers.

Are these chicks banded?

No. Apparently the university doesn’t allow banding.
