Not sure why oeople are moaning about the food being taken, uts very simole to read the kaws of the country your going to, so the food wasted is all down to the boat owners and no one else. And they do explain why, but maybe those commenting do not listen

Thats such a waste. That 10 kg of fruit confiscated and destroyed. Why? Its to be used on the ship. On their trip. And the mayo too. Cant believe. Why treat is mayo?

The fruit was brought into New Zealand. Even if it stayed on the boat, it was still in New Zealand. That's how laws are written. As for the mayo... It's made with raw eggs. South African meat and egg products do not meet New Zealand standards and South African mayo is not pasteurised sufficiently.
