As a retired immigration officer, I immediately call BS on the so called doctor’s story, as soon as he claimed he had the passports of other people in order to get them renewed. Things like renewals of passports MUST always be done IN PERSON by the owner/holder of the passport. No if or buts, no exceptions: You’re lying. End of story. (There is much, much more wrong with his story though!)

I withdrew a three grand out of my Veterans bank account here in Australia. The clerk counted it and the clerk put a rubber to hold the $50 notes ... just like the taxi driver had his. I have asked for an envelope in the past as I have a carer since I'm rated at 100% disability who pays my bills and buys my groceries.

I can never understand why so many people are traveling with exceptionally large amounts of cash. Unless you are a dealer or money laundered, why not just put the money into your bank account and keep maybe $200 of actual cash on you? Take out what you need when you get to your destination to reduce any bank/atm fees.

Keeping a registry as a doctor involves continuing education and paperwork. Doctors in other countries can't practice abroad. Being a nurse practitioner is a possible job until further education can be validated.

They need to arrest those companies who hire illegal workers. If these companies did the legal ethical right thing then they would be forced to pay humans a decent wage. They are also taking away jobs from those who lived there their whole life. It’s these businesses that are part of why England is falling. Just like here in America. Every where I go now there are only Spanish people working that no English whatsoever. I went into Popeyes and not one person spoke English and she didn’t understand what I wanted so I ended up just ordering something she could understand. Walmart you have to wait for an English speaking worker to get help. I have no problems with them working. Kudos to them. More than I can say for some of the population who want to live off the government. I just think they should know English if you are going to be interacting with a country’s citizens whose primary language is English for maybe only the next 25 years.

Again this man is an old man what the heck of job he can find to do in UK that he cannot get in Chicago? Enforcing the rules is normal but this case is very humiliating for this man. There was no real reason whatsoever to deny him the transit! He could have gotten escorted to the gate for Sierra Leone as they have done to send him back to Chicago.

I am a plain old boring citizen of the United states. And I went to renew my passport and you cannot even imagine how many loops I had to jump. I don't know why. I don't have any outstanding records I don't have any traffic citations, yet it still took 6 months, despite me reapplying in person to receive my updated passport! Shite happens. And I have had a passport since the day of my birth....WTF???

Because he needs to go to a different airport to catch his plane. To get there he needs to leave the airport, which they don’t want to risk since they think he may stay in the UK. To leave the airport to get to the other one he needs a visa. He applied for one and was denied.
