Last one with the jamaican. I too find it odd that his marriage license was approved. It should have been denied and him asked to present himself to the home office to sort his imigration status or instead of sending the marriage license call him and say he needs to come by because there are documents missing for it to be approved and there confront him like this. They allowed him and his wife to spend all the wedding money for nothing.

In Sweden, we don’t have colleges with the same concept as you have in the US, Canada or Australia (I don’t know about the UK), which is an additional step between high school and university. You go directly from the high school to university if you want to obtain higher education. Hence, we don't get bogus foreign students coming to Sweden with student visas to attend collages. We still welcome foreign students to attend university, but the qualification, verification, and admission process is very rigid to prevent false applications and documents. There are no private educational institutions providing bogus higher education in Sweden either, which can facilitate student visas, as all such applications are controlled and verified by the relevant government body. Proving your financial ability to support yourself during your studies without full-time work is a must. I came to Sweden from Iran as a student in 1985, and the admission process was already tough at that time. It's even tougher now.
