It kind of fits, she acts a lot like everything is sunshine and roses(lol didn’t intend that pun. Yang’s getting to me) but beneath that is tragedy and darkness that makes her cling to the sunshine and roses naively. I think her almost goth like dressing style in volume 1-3 helps highlight that beneath the smile and optimism is some real tragedy and with the bigger tragedies that occur as the series goes on I think Ruby learns to stop hiding away her darkness but not become smothered by it while still embracing her light, what makes her the smaller more honest soul. But that’s just my two cents.

If you're interested in knowing briefly what i didn't like keep reading otherwise just stop here. For starters i think they have made some very arbitrary and rash decision on character developement and sometimes the plot felt incredibly forced, these are the major points. I still think the fights coreography and the plot pacing could use some more work and the first volumes were the best but it's still enjoyable. Bonus points for nice music and really interesting world lore
