@@MikeFoxtrot1 same thing for both . fact is the people voted they wish to remain british , the land has never belonged to Argentina because when england occupied it Argentina didnt even exist they were tribes stuck in the stone age using rocks and spears

No, it's not the same thing. The islands are only 300 miles from Argentina and 8000 miles from the UK. Argentina declared independence in 1816, the British invaded the Argentine Islands in 1833. The population did not vote to be occupied by the British, the British forced the population from the islands and shipped in foreign settlers from Britain.

There would have been no Falklands war without Argentina creating a false sovereignty grievance. Territorial indoctrination by Argentina almost led to war with Chile in 1978, and led to the Falklands War in 1982. No one likes war. But principal needs to be upheld. Media passive aid and comfort to the enemy by attacking the countries will from within is shameful

Sink a ship and kill some soldiers and a great power will fold??? While the enemy is further emboldened due to their losses. That’s not a winning formula

@Gareth Cooke Just like the British Sold the Argies, Canberra bombers, Tiger Cat and Blowpipe SAMs and 1000lb bombs. A Blowpipe shot down a Harrier and some of those bombs did explode in British Ships.

Islands like the falklands are the last remnants of their world empire. The Brits rather destroyed their own Empire than let Germany have a place at the table. And now insignificant rocks in the ocean like the Falklands are their last pride, even if they`re ultimately worthless.

HMS Sheffield was hit with bombs by Argentine Air Force planes on 01 may. Not by an Exocet missile on 04 may. This is why Britains sunk General Belgrano cruise on 02 may... tu put the score "1 to 1". Shame on you!

@Brian Coley The only thing that explains the coward attack on the Belgrano (out of the TEZ), was the fact that the day before Argentina hit with bombs HMS Sheffield. (military british secret).
