I genuinely think 2010s will be my go-to style forever, with a twist of every new decade of course, but the chokehold it had over me during my shaping adolescent years just cannot be possibly ereased from my dna at this point I guess. I'm in a funk; it's not you, xx's it's me. I've commented previously that there is a homogenization going on in fashion, hence in the way xx's look to me. I think I've mentioned this before too: When I read a novel the test for me is if the author "transports", that's the word that always comes to mind, does (s)he transport me to the scene. Can I see in my mind's eye the character? Would I recognize him/her on the street? I'll make this video-specific. If I came home and Blair Waldorf were sitting at my desk I wouldn't notice her. There are a few outfits that Dion profiles that would make me go "wow" if I saw her on the street, but Dion hits the nail on the head when she trolls style analysts who say "Great coats are in this fall!" "Tights! This is tights fall!" Whatever Generation Next's equivalent of "Duh" is. Too much brown, too much business wear--My God, if I want to see women dressed in business wear I'll go back to practicing law. I will give Blair Waldorf this: RED! Other than red there is nothing striking to me, nothing cutting edge. We're doing the 2010's again? Gossip Girl? I need to pay attention to my crack dealer. My favorite images from this vid are the ones that make me notice, the Goth Romance, Dark Romance, Neo-Punk, and Cartoon outfits. Thumbs up to Dion's look. I LOVE the corset and agree that the only thing that could improve the look would be a long string of pearls. Onion Dad out.

A great coat is a kind of coat 😅 From Wikipedia: A greatcoat (also watchcoat) is a large, woollen overcoat designed for warmth and protection against wind and weather, and features a collar that can be turned up and cuffs that can be turned down to protect the face and the hands, whilst the short rain-cape at the shoulders protects from the wind and repels rain. Loved the analysis, it really does feel like upcoming Autumn "trends" are just recycling Autumnal fashion this year.

I was honestly having a lot of fun in 2010’s , I would go out dancing a lot. My favorite was a tiered circle skirt with kitten heels and a sheer tunic, layered with a chunky belt. I think now as an old fart, I am most excited about tights. I love to wear them to the office ❤
