This video is of a powerful hypnosis induction being done here to guide you towards sleep or deep relaxation while also presenting healing metaphors around reducing worry and anxiety and managing stress. You can listen to this and fall asleep or listen to this just to experience healing relaxation.
This induction is great for self-hypnosis and is the self-hypnosis induction I teach to clients in one to one hypnotherapy sessions where I will guide them through the eyes open, eyes closed induction so they follow along to me first and then will have them do if for themselves in the session so that they practice and master how to guide themselves into hypnosis in the session with me and leave the session with the skills to do this for themselves.
You can do this too if you want, you can follow along and then at a later time you can practice this induction on yourself.
The healing therapeutic metaphors take you on a journey through woodland to a stream, into a reverie, by a lake, walking around the lake to the mountains and a waterfall, climbing the mountains follow the river and waterfalls up into the mountains to a cave, relaxing by a campfire falling asleep and finding yourself in an art gallery, walking through the art gallery and finding a painting which you look closely at, being drawn into that painting and finding yourself on a cliff overlooking a rough sea and a distant storm, watching the storm pass before walking into nearby woodland and finding your way to a tree with an entrance leading deep down underground to a room, in the room you find a book, you read the book before going through another door, following a tunnel to where you find a lost world that seems like paradise...

'The softness, the coolness, the tickle-touch of the grass on your hands.' I've never heard grass described as tickle-touch before. But felt it perfectly the instant you said it. It's exactly what grass feels like. Your imagery is unmatched. Glad I made it further in this one than most. But once again not a clue where it ended.

I tried this for the first time last night, intending to stay awake for the whole thing. Last I remember is icicles on a mountain. Conked out sometime after that and was awakened by the next video that came up, fortunately not an ad but some other thing with a woman's soothing voice stating a disclaimer not to operate a vehicle while listening because it was something for lucid dreaming. Looking forward to trying again tonight...now that I know how to turn off autoplay for the next video. (I'm glad I searched your name here, Dan I'm taking your hypnosis course on Udemy.)

Dan, honestly you are a work of genius. I’ve developed insomnia and panic attacks at random times of the day, and the panic attacks come at night as well and they last. Whenever I can’t sleep and am vulnerable to panic attacks and insomnia spells, I return to this video, especially since the pandemic began. Last year, my anxiety disorder manifested in an ugly way. I felt so bad I would’ve done anything to erase the manifestation of anxiety triggers. If it wasn’t for my neurologist having an appointment available during the time, I wouldn’t have been here today, at least probably psychotic and stuck in my brain. I now go to a psychiatrist every two months and a LCSW every 2-3 weeks (it used to be psychiatrist every two weeks or so and LCSW every week). I feel great compared to last year and I regret not finding this video during such a vulnerable period, but whenever I feel lost and insomniac, I come to this video and fall asleep within 15 minutes of the induction. Long story short, you’re helping me deal with the effects of the pandemic and deal with fear and anxiety attacks coming from COVID. You deserve more views and subscribers, your work is extremely interesting and well done!

I had no idea that you even existed until maybe half an hour ago. I've been using guided self hypnosis on KZbin for almost 15 years now to try to control chronic pain, depression, anxiety and insomnia. Fractionation is definitely my favorite induction. I know it works really well really quickly for me. You're an expert at it! Thank you for sharing your talent to help us. I appreciate it!

Wow... I decided to experiment with this during the day to see what would happen, and was 'out' within minutes. I sadly didn't make it to the end of the video as the sudden sound of my flatmate coming home 'brought me back', at which point I realised 18 minutes had gone by. I don't remember sleeping but I equally don't remember processing the exact words you were saying, just that I could hear you talking and that I was incredibly relaxed. I can only assume this is what hypnosis feels like? Really powerful stuff - thank you for sharing!

Please hire sound engineer for 4 or 5 hours of consulting. Your initial explanation should be at the same sound level as the script. As it is, even though I am hard of hearing, I have to turn your initial bit down because it hurts from the ears. On the other hand, your script it's just loud enough that I still have to turn the sound down a bit. Obviously, it seems that you get it that regular hearing people can turn their sound down and as hard of hearing people appreciate the volume. I've been doing hypnotism since 1970 and I've had three psychiatrists try to hypnotize me. This video is the first one to succeed. I look forward to listening to your other videos. Thank God you don't try to go creepy and whisper like so many of the people on here do. A real hypnotist, like you or me, know that speaking in a normal voice is effective. A lot of so-called hypnotist on youtube, don't seem to get it that the person you are trying to get focus on your words can't focus on them if you are whispering at them and there's music in the background that is at the same level. I wish you did a script that included the trigger to induce sleep. Ideally, you would have a script that would include a trigger to induce a trance that you would put in as saying that anyone that the person trusted could say that trigger and put you into a trance. That's what I've been trying to do with people and psychiatrists since 1970. And all my many years, except for the woman who trained me in 1970, you're the best hypnotist I've run across. Good on you and continue the good work!

I love this, what I don't love is not having a time stamp at 3:30 when you start.
@DanJonesHypnosis
@DanJonesHypnosis 2 жыл бұрын
The induction in this videos begins at 0:56, which is why, unlike my other 'powerful induction' video I've not included a time stamp, because it is right at the beginning of the video. In the other video I include a timestamp for returning viewers, but stress that the timestamp isn't for people viewing for the first time, because they will miss how to do the process if they use the timestamp, whereas here, it gets straight into the process of hypnotising the viewer, while teaching the viewer how to hypnotise themselves without the need for this video.

Is it possible to reach the somnambulistic state using this self hypnosis induction?
@DanJonesHypnosis
@DanJonesHypnosis Жыл бұрын
That depends on the specific individual and how they respond to a specific approach to absorb their attention. Somnambulism isn't really a term used by professionals in hypnosis, but is still mentioned on some hypnosis training courses. It used to refer to what was considered the deepest state of hypnosis. But hypnosis isn't a state and everything which is listed as possible within a somnambulistic 'trance' is possible at any point depending on the individual. Almost everyone can open their eyes and still continue to be engaged and responsive, most people can develop a selection of hypnotic phenomena and can respond to various post hypnotic suggestions. The idea is generally that in a somnambulistic state the person would look 'awake' like normal, they would feel like they are awake like normal and wouldn't think they were hypnotised, yet they are still actually responding to presented ideas, and this is generally the experience of most people. Hypnosis doesn't feel like anything, so most people don't realise they are hypnotised, yet they are responding well. For someone to be able to do pretty much all forms of hypnotic phenomena and respond well to everything, including post hypnotic suggestions etc, this is quite rare, perhaps 5-10% of people. This can increase with training, so those who frequently use and engage with an approach which works and resonates with them, but for most people, we have a range of abilities and although we can improve in areas, we may struggle in other areas. So someone could perhaps very easily develop amnesia, or hypermnesia, or analgesia or anaesthesia, or automatic movement, but may struggle with visualisation or positive or negative hallucination, yet someone else may find these things easy and the other things more difficult to do. So, if this specific approach resonates with you and you find it something you can follow and engage with and practice, then you may well have success. If this approach or my delivery of it doesn't suit you, perhaps I go too fast or slow, or end too soon or go on too long, or my voice irritates you, then you probably won't get the results you are after. The advantage of this approach is that it is easy to do to yourself, but again, if you struggle to do this, then it probably wouldn't work for you. What you are capable of also varies depending on what is being asked of you. For example, it is generally much easier to encourage someone to have a sense that they heard someone say their name, than some strange auditory hallucination, or having someone hallucinating a picture on a wall than a dragon in the room with them, or negatively hallucinating the wall is blank (not seeing a picture which is on the wall), rather than negatively hallucinating that there are no walls to the office, all they can see is the Martian landscape...

@oneandonly_1 Жыл бұрын
@@DanJonesHypnosis The deep trance state is when the subconscious is most receptive to suggestion, so what you’re saying is each individual should look for a specific induction that works best for them?
@DanJonesHypnosis
@DanJonesHypnosis Жыл бұрын
@ThatsAllFolks people aren't more suggestible when hypnotised but are more responsive. Deeper just referred to being more absorbed which in turn means you are likely to be more responsive to presented idea and less responsive to those things which your attention isn't focused on, so you will be less distracted by distractions line traffic or self-consciousness or people walking past etc. You can use pretty much anything as a hypnotic induction, it could be focusing on the problem or goal or solution, or on a favourite interest or hobby or on a story or breathing or counting or a sound or object or phrase. Any way you can think of focusing attention can be used and not everyone lines all ways, so it is about finding the way that resonates best with you. Over on my The Mind Changers KZbin channel I shared examples of me doing dozens of ways of hypnotising which could give you an idea of what you like best. In terms of change work, you don't need to strive for some special state (which doesn't exist), you just need to be focused on the work you are doing and the more focused on that you are the more receptive you will be to what you are doing...
