I have watched dozens of Richard's videos. He is a great fisherman, conservationist, and personality. But he does not answer his commenters, in fact other viewers will often answer in the reply section. I appreciate you getting a reply from Richard, but this is rare indeed.

Tried this same method yesterday! I caught 2 small ones. Not bad for about an hour of fishing, while trying to keep the ice out of the rod guides. Water was up, and muddy. Underspin, with black/chartreuse jig.

Richard Im getting ready to watch this muddy water crappie video. Its raining like heck here in Southern Illinois. I am sure after watching this video I will be able to pull some slabs out of Crab or Egypt! From 1 avid crappie fisherman to another. I appreciate everything you do to spread your knowledge. I am just a crappie chaser, but I watch every video you make, from the blue cats, channel, flat heads, bluegill, bass, sauger, and all the other you catch. Your the best brother! I have had a livescope on my boat from late 2018 and gene is absolutely right . I have a $3000.00 trolling motor on my boat too and going down a bank line in say 15' foot of water you see tons of different fish on the livescope and if you hit that trolling motor just a little bit you can watch the fish scatter. I was amazed at this

Richard you probably already know but Y'all store your fishing line in the refrigerator. I buy a good sized spools and they don't go bad. Any cool, dark, area is good.

My local lake has looked like chocolate milk for the past 2 months. Literally have 3 inches of visibility, if that much. Can't wait till spring, when my local lake gets back to summer pool, and gets back to normal visibility. Till then I'll just live through rgtfm

Love your videos. I noticed you put your hook in the eye of the rod for storage or just to keep it in place. I did that, and it chipped the plastic coating inside the eye and left a ruff spot that broke the line every time I got a bite! I fixed it with finger nail polish!
